I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that he waived his 4th Amendment right when he invited the officer in. It was a new version of the old foot in the door trick. Then, OP kept talking and waived his 5th Amendment right. At best he's looking at a reduced sentence and a few years of probation. Maybe he can use the fact that he did cooperate so willingly to his defense, along with his reason for growing. He could also add that he didn't want to support a violent black market or gangsters by buying off the street. Possibly find and produce some recipes that would require a large amount of raw material to help explain the number of plants. None of this would be a lie, either.

Then, move to a state that supports MMJ for depression when you can.

Have to agree.. doesn't matter at all what was said between just the two people. The cop can say he said everything just right, and the justice system will side with him. It comes down to once you let him inside (foot in door) its his game now and your just along for the ride. LET THEM BASH THE DOOR DOWN IF THEY WANT INSIDE.

Correct me if im wrong, but even if he saw you were home thru the door, cant you just walk off?

I've had two times were police came and banged on my door for 15 minutes, I just sat at the top of the stairs and watched them. No clue why they came heh.. cant be any good reason, so why find out.

I guess you and everyone reading this learned a valuable lesson off this..

If they're not kicking in your door, DO NOT LET THEM IN THE HOUSE.

If they ask you, then they are not legally allowed in without your permission. Knowledge is power my friends.

If he had a warrant, He wouldn't of even had to ask you.... they would of been kicking the door down.....The major problem in this whole story is you cracking and saying you had weed.... In America we have this awesome Right, It is the right to remain silent...It is in this way they give you the power and the honor of not being a liar about any given subject... If something comes up that you think you have to lie about to the police you are allowed (and I'm sure cops get it all the time by folks like me) to shut your mouth and shrug you shoulders and let the cop move on to the next question He's sure to ask...You do not have to come up with an on the spot answer for them.... as Awkward as It seems at the moment.... Keep your mouth shut and let them work for the answers.... don't hand them to them... Cops are not your friends they are there to find, arrest and help prosecute criminals..Say as little as is needed when talking to them.....I hope you'll be O.K. but I'm not sure Talk thoroughly with your lawyer or public defender And don't let them push you around (they will they don't care unless you make them care) Remember In all reality all you were doing was growing a plant. No your not a bad person For that. So try not to let the court make you feel that way. The laws are fucked up and wrong not you but you will get punished just the same and that's injustice and it happens all the time..

i had a similar thing happen to me. i got ratted out. luckily, i'm smart as a whip. and my state has a medical mariuana program.
after putting the case off for 3 years, and obtaining my medical card, i use an afffirmative defense, they dropped the case.
the cops that stormed my house had a warrant, and knew exactly what they were doing. i tried to go out the back, but they were waiting. fuckin bummer!
never allow an officer inside your house unless you call them. simply say, "i do not consent to any searches."
you need to exercise your right to vote, missouri has a medical program being proposed, and a village that allows it already, go there, obtain your medical access, and present it to the court. do what ever it takes.
next time, you need to grow some balls. don't become a victim, thats what you are. i'm not sure if you are your own victim, or a victim of society. you are gonna pay that cops salaries, with the fines they give you.
shit happens, move on bro.

its your life, you are the only one that has to live it.

needless to say you fucked up by letting him in the house. you would have been justified to simply say "have a good night officer" and shut the door in his face once you gathered that he didnt have a warrant. but he did claim that there was a 911 call placed, and lead you to believe that there was something wrong, and manipulated your good intentions to get you to incriminate yourself, which is illegal. all i can say is, fuck the usa, and thank god i live in a less intense police state here in canada (which is no picnic either)

WTF??

This story is a complete fabrication or you cut and pasted it from someone else.

I have been around here for over 3 years and I have seen this EXACT same story posted here not once, but a few times in the past. My memory is excellent and this same EXACT story has been posted here over 2 years ago.

Same cop excuse and same idiot with his idiotic thoughts answering the door.

Who are the old schoolers around here? FDD? Loudblunts? Where is LB anyways? Someone else will see this crap soon and a light will turn on once they read this story.

I call bullshit on the OP. The story is possibly true but the poster is a lying fuck because he copied this story from somewhere and I'm going to find it.
