Why would chopping and trimming cause them to die? This happened to me. I just finished flowering and harvested/trimmed as usual with gloves on and watched as the thrips crawled out of the buds as they were drying

No all the plants had themDid you have to quarantine the plant??
Well that’s reassuring I already have bug buds formed, should I just apply neem oil by hand to the fan leaves and sugar leaves? They're a minor problem compared to mites or aphids. In veg or early flower, any standard omri product generally does the trick. Especially if you use 2 or 3 and switch it up every couple of days.
Spinosad, soaps, sulfur, neem, and a few others. Just alternate them.
Difficult to suggest this late in flower. Definitely not spinosad or sulfur. Safer makes a ready to use product called End All, which is a combo of neem oil and soap. It should take care of thrips, but I don't know how late into flowering you can use it. You'll have to google around and see. I'm about to crack a Modelo and go jump in my homie's pool, so I don't have the time to look for you.Well that’s reassuring I already have bug buds formed, should I just apply neem oil by hand to the fan leaves and sugar leaves?
