Update - Tester A plant

Looks like she is on her last legs - bud flop :D
Her sister Tester B is just about ready to get jarred up so this one will probably get chopped on the weekend. So i will not feed her any more ( coco ) so she can begin to die off and start to dry in pot.

I will do a superficial trim on her maybe friday.

I am already soaking some seeds for next batch.

Side Project

Remember those “ hermie “ plants i tossed - well i had the last one in a trashbag on side of house and was gonna toss it for trash day.

Well i took a closer look at it and has been thriving in that closed bag……. It is actually a full male.

Soooooooo , i clipped dome branches - put in a mason jar of water . They look like they will start busting pretty soon and i can collect some pollen.

I plan to “ dust “ a couple of lower branches of my last container grow plants and get a few beans out of them. This one was the Full Moon Fever plant. So i will see what that and a KKP will bring.

Normally i place over large round mirror - but daughter must have snaked it when she moved. So i just have a ghetto plate. I dont plan really to store any since i am just gonna use what busts out.

Remember to take Piss and make Lemonade
I think that is how the saying goes ( shrugs )

POLLEN TIME :hump:
Finally started to get some pollen to drop.

So i grabbed one of my girls and selected a lower branch ( tagged it ) and made a collar to do the pollination.

Once plant finishes , i will harvest the main flowers and leave that branch to finish seeding ( if needed )

I am waiting for the rest of the male branches to open up ( maybe i can pollinate that Urinal Cake too ).

Trim Time :(

Everybody’s favorite garden chore.

Tester A was left in pot drying and dying up this point.
Got a little lazy about some pre trim but the cannabrush will take care of that.

Sometimes it is just easier ( especially coco ) for plant to begin drying out in this fashion - no moisture will be held in the coco. I left it in same flowering room off to the side. No special place or dark bat cave needed.

Getting that last “ drought stress “ on this plant before it actually dries out .

QB 96 rig w/ Sunblaster T5HO

Although this rig works pretty well without supplemental lighting - i figured i would dig out the G8 Bloom Booster ( 630 - 660nm ) and play around with it. It was an interesting lamp ( years ago ) before current strip offerings now available. Its bright as shit and is IMO one of best leds i continuously use.

Anyways i havent kicked on the UV ( sunblaster ) yet and will begin cycle on the plants in next 2 weeks.

I will run that on a timer ( 12 hour ) … kicking on for 15 minutes every 4 hour block for the 12 hour cycle.

Then at harvest - UV only ( no other lights ) 15 minutes on during same 4 hour block . IMO it gives me last minute frost. Plant is not watered anymore and partially trimmed - it stays in pot . I run for a day or 2 like this then pull plant whenever… because tent has been shutdown completely after that last UV run.

Plant is pretrimmed - blasted with UV - sits in dark tent chillin until i feel like chopping. Plants are in there drying in pot and i can do final cutting on my time not “ before lights on “ or some other myth.

Its just a matter of convenience for me more than some nerd reason.

Flower / UV
( Harvest time )
Pretrim / UV ONLY
Full shutdown ( dark )
Pull plant for final harvesting
( * plant may be drying for week ) in unused tent.
( extraction fan on / passive inlet )
Jarring

This is my usual setup ( if i plan right ) lol

No Science papers , No laboratory study …. Just something i saw on a 3 stooges episode…. Nyuk nyuck yuk.
