Buds continuing to grow in late flowering phase?

I might be going a little insane but it looks like the buds that have turned mostly orange are starting to grow newer, white hairs. Is this anything I should concern myself with?

This will happen sometimes more than once before the plant is done

Should I wait for all the newer hairs to turn orange before I harvest or should I go by checking the trichomes with my microscope? I wouldn't want to risk damaging the majority of the bud waiting for a few more hairs to turn if that is indeed the case.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the 12/12 light cycle, I shouldn't be lessening the hours of sunlight it gets should I? Or perhaps some generic flowering nutes I added to the water?

Nothing to worry about, that's normal as far as I know.

How late in flowering on what kind of strain? They will pretty much keep some kind of new growth going all thru flower.. It's just the plants way of trying to reproduce.

I am thinking it's a few weeks away from harvest, the strain idk. Here are some pics of the new growth and just some general bud porn.

Looks healthy and normal to me, and I agree that you have 2 or 3 weeks to go.

yah, don't go by the pistils, hairs, on the plants, but rather go by the trichomes.. you can get a cheap handheld microscope from radioshack or even online for a lil over 10 bills or so to use to check the trics, and harvest when they're where you like them m8...

agree 2-3 weeks check troichomas in 2 weeks want them cloudy/ half amber :0

Yeah I have a 40x microscope with LED light

that should work fine then m8.. the ones i get from radioshack are 60x - 100x, but i'd think a 40 should work fine..

I've let my lower buds continue to grow after harvest and they just kept putting out more and more white hairs just like you said even though the buds were done. I'm guessing they will just keep growing and growing if you keep letting them grow because they are looking for that last chance to catch pollen
