i had diesel ryder pollened entirly, had sativa dom male and indica dom female, got nice plants but the seeds have problems germinating, the shell is so thick i have to cut it with razorblade, so the root tip can escape.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEKahX-Gz7E This actually was seed from original pack. The Joint Doctors
i think its a prob with all auto seeds because i had auto AK47 X HINDUKUSH and i had the same problems with the shells, also crossed them and grew some out and the same thing..i wonder if its a pheno/trait that can be fixed?

I was also wondering this I heard you just let it grow till it pretty much stops growing and dying or till the bud looks ready to harvest.

you'll see the seeds look like there going to just fall out of the pods ( and they will) or they'll pop right out with very lil touching

hey lloydx, how long did it take for you to know pollination occured? I just pollinated a couple females from my DR yesterday but the hairs have not browned and retracted yet, Did I fuck up?

Definatly pollinate early, My auto maria is done, but the seeds arent.
I waited tell 2 weeks after the first flower an it was a mistake.

Seeds take 3 to six weeks from dusting them to reach maturity

I normally wait the full six weeks only problem is with autos sometimes week 4 or 5 before pistils look like enough of them and vibrant
That would make harvest of seeds week 10 or 11 this process is much easier with reg beans sometime one find himself sacrificing bud for beans
Easy to do if you are getting a handful of beans in return

Easier to do with regular beans maturity takes the same time

Peace out

the pistils that got pregnet will turn brown in week and a half or two weeks

i have focused on the bud insted of the seed in the beginning and got weak bud from focuse of energy to seed production and the seeds were not ready small some grrn some light brownno dark full sized beans 2 time looser from then on i always wait for seeds not bud once duseted and seeded

i just tell peops what i do i dont tell them what they have to do like some on this site but some are a little full of themselvs

sometimes i get humored by the battles that go on heare one sy this one say that but as is life there is hundreds of ways to do the same thing

may the grow gods smile upon your beans

it only took a few days after I applied the pollen maybe two at the most, I never really noticed a change in hair colour but I can see the seed pods swelling up lots which doest happen on a pure female plant

So are you saying the seeds finish befor the bud sometimes with autos?
if so is there any harm in letting the bud finish to collect the seeds or are you saying I should harvest early

This was suposed to be a seed run not worried about the quality of bud but im in no hurry to harvest, by waiting for the plant to be finished am I causing any harm to the seeds. Do the seeds go bad if the plant flowers too long or what I will attach some pics

nice plant LLOYDX.. you wont harm the seeds. i always let my plants that i hit with pollen go 1 to 2 weeks longer just so more of the seeds are finshed. i also dont flush them to much..i kind of just let them die on there own..then harvest them..the lilttle bit of bud is cool to roll some J's with..

Nice pics of your lady. I will be doing the same thing that you have done, or at least try to. I have a question, when you take the pollen sacs off the male and let them dry, do they turn into pollen or do they secrete the pollen or how does it exactly work? What am I looking for? The outer layer is folding back and the "little fingers" are showing. Am I on the right track?

Hey man how did your seeds turn out? Did you get a bunch? I'm about to harvest a couple DR's next week that I pollinated around the time you did.
