So I always have those bugs in my soil my plant seem to grow good but i want to kill most off them before i replant my plant in soil.

I try the nematod pouch potpopper no succes ! 89$

I use 1 gallon off boilling water in each 5 gallon pot . After 24h i did not see nothing moving anymore. I need new under pot half of them melted down .

Now im doing a tea with all kind of compost, microbe and fungi that i have in hand .let it bubble 24 h and then do another one 48h to get more fungi .

When i will transplant in a week ill trow some more nematod for prevention i feel that my soil was getting to dry fast in flowering for the pouch to stay wet like they where asking.it my do the trick in veg my soil stay humid enought the pod popper work with my 2 mother they are pest free .

What do you guys think !

Depends on what bug it is, I suggest that you start with new soil each time for now until you become more knowledgeable. Reduce your variables and drastically increase your odds of success

I just give a cup of the tea to start colonize my soil as fast as possible.
I add water to the tea before watering the 27 pot and now i will let it bubble until tomorow. Then ill give a litter to each pot.

The smell in my grow room is already comming back to normal. it was smelling like i was cooking corn yesterday.

If you have Fungas gnats, which are common, try the following.

1. Make sure you water heavily but less often. Allow the top inch and a half to dry before watering. Kills eggs and larva.

2. Use diatomaceous earth in your soil to kill larva.

3. Use sticky strips to trap adults, and monitor the population.

As for the boiling water, I know from experience you can kill off beneficial microbes that way. If done properly with stirring, you can pseudo-pasteurize soil similar to thermal composting. That will reduce harmful microbe populations and kill off some wild plant seeds.

We in darkest Russia get the odd Gnat from the fungus,

is no biggy

for us but the women yell and scream if we want sex we must repair, and calm their hearts,

simply lay uncooked potatoes slices on the top of the soil

is also works if you lay them on your talking wife but cook them first she will get fat but you won't mind

as for the fungus gnat children who like to eat potato(french fries) inspect each morning and remove the white maggots

before they fly off to breed more in your space of growing

east germans have been known to smear fat or oil over a yellow card and hang above

to attract the hungry female gnats

but in truth they are no problem unless the daily temperature is below 18c/65f?

as then they become posties for the fungi spores

good luck

Neem cake, worm castings, and bokashi will get rid of harmful pests. You still might see hypoaspis mites and spring tails. They're beneficial bugs and not harmful.

Never using boiling water. That will kill off most of the soil microbes minus extremophile bacteria

Clean the room
Water in nematodes
Hang new sticky traps
Use Diamtamaecous Earth and small grow stones as a mulch layer to cover the soil
Keep dry for a few days
When it is time to water next use as little as possible and slowly pour at the center stem, allowing the water to spread out under the layer of stone and D Earth.

After a week, and at least one watering, I do this all over again. It helps to also have an IPM already in place. Stay consistent with it. Be vigilant.

So i i grow outside.use a somewhat of a basic organic soil mixture in 30 and 45 gallon smart pots. will be digging holes next year instead of the pots.plants get to big need more room.will just take soil from pots roots and all to amend the soil in holes.plus add a few more goodies.question is what should i do with soil in the pots for the winter.cover over or just leave and not worry about?does it matter?

So you have root aphids? Is this a positive I'd?

What brand of nematodes did you use and what species?
