I just started my 1st indoor grow. I have a 6x6 tent with a 600 watt HPS/MH...I am using the HPS. I plan to later upgrade to 2 but $ issues kept my brakes on..lol. I am growing Himalayan Blue diesel, Onyx, and some mystery seeds that the company I bought them from sent for free( hope they are fems and/or auto) I am running them in 30 gallon totes each with 8 baskets with steady stream of nutrient and oxygen enriched water. I have them in rockwool cubes surrounded by hydroton rocks. Out of 10(of each) 7 has sprouted. Never had such a low turn out...I used the hydrofarm hot house...heating pad, tray and dome. I am using Advanced nutrients grow,bloom, Nirvana and Bud blood( presently only grow and Nirvana) I have read your posts and have been following your grow as the only reference point I have as a newbie with this strain. Any suggestions? They have literally been going less than a week. I live in Cali and plan to supply a collective so I am really trying to get the absolute best results. I am a avid smoker but I am disabled and desperately need an income supplement Anybody have any ideas ..or advice

Did you get mixed sex beans? After reading a couple of times the only suggestion I have is maybe ditch the rockwool in favor of another starter medium. I have a friend that is running hydro and he started of using rockwool and had a bad germ rate. There were other factors involved but since switching to "perfect starts" I think thats what they are called his success rate is almost 100% granted he addressed the humidity issue at the same time. I looked at them and they looked more natural and hospitable to seedlings imo. There is no reason you can't produce a steady stream of buds. I don't think it will be dispensary quantities but a constant flow for sure.

It's update day. Here are the blues this morning. I am starting to catch a wiff of their scent now. I guess I need to go stick my face in them and get a good smell.

Am I mistaken or does #7 look like a male? if it is sorry for the lose, if not im an idiot and need glasses. Otherwise nice to see everything else is doing what it should be doing. Your other plants are looking really nice I might add. Im kinda thrown off by how small these BHD's stay but get decently bushy. I hope it gets to at least 12 inches by harvest time. Mines maybe 3-4 inches and getting bushy at day 21.. I figured I switch it up and show a video of my setup. And yes I know im a shitty cameraman. Yes he is a male but it isn't my loss, it's my gain. Now me and a couple of friends will never have to buy this strain again. I try to shop around for good mixed sex beans.

Now I have to correct myself after actually watching the video and not just the still pick. They look good and pretty well sized for their age. they will hit a growth spurt between weeks 5-7.

Yeah im happy with how they are turning out when I am using bare minimums to grow these. I hope when I start using this miracle grow bloom booster they just take off and get huge. Im expecting them to take at least 9 weeks total so 6 weeks from now they will be ready to harvest. I know the breeder says 7-8 weeks but i dont know if thats gonna be true with mine... What do you think Teflon? And today once again I added 1 more 23 watt cfl in my box so now I have a total of 6 23w cfls at 1700 lumens each and 4 are 2700k and 2 are 6500k.

I think 7-8 weeks is pushing it. 9-10 is closer to the truth. That set up looks perfect for the plants right now. If I were in your shoes I would be thinking of a way to double your bulb count by the time they are full grown. It sounds like a lot but they will love it. I don't know where you get your bulbs but lowes has 6 packs of bulbs for around seven dollars. the other approach would be to get bigger CFLs for the sockets you have now. The draw back there is that the 42 watt bulbs are like $12 apiece.

Yeah one I get alittle more money im gonna upgrade to leds and cfls. wont be til next grow tho im thinkin. Will see what happens within the next few weeks.

Great thread teflon. One question, do you plant your seeds right in to the pot that will be the plants permanent home?

Yes, I have been using the paper towel method and once they germ they go straight into the pot they finish in.

Yeah starting in Rock wool has me at a 7:10 on all so out of 30 have 21. I bought Fems on the autos but the freebies are reg I believe. Where can I get the stuff you were talking about Teflon? I am supposed to have gotten it from the same breeder but not from Attitude, These other guys were slow getting them to me like 5 weeks. how long does Attitude take I need to get about 5 more to fill in my empty spots. I did finally find out what the mystery seeds are and they are Himalayan Kush, I am a little worried about setting off their flowering without diminishing the yield of my auto-flowering plants. The dispensary that I am dealing with are just getting started just as I am so their need will grow as I do. My next grow I will add another 600 HPS and another 24 plant sites to fill out my tent. In California, Santa Barbara County to be specific I can run a 10x10 and up to 90 at once, and can have 6lbs of dry in our possession, I fully intend to max that out for me and my wife both This is just the beginning for me I am starting slow but at least I am started In your opinion how much would the 7 Himalayan Blue Diesel's yield? I also have 7 Onyx which are supposed to be slightly larger yield with different but equal level of buzz. The Himalayan Kush are gonna be probably vegged for this cycle and once these are through I will flower them. I will continue to follow your thread I am finishing the 1st week but when I have something to show I will post some pics ANY and ALL advice appreciated (I am a "chemist" gone straight so the chemistry really is easy for me the things I need help with are the things only experience can teach) Thanks to all ya'll

CFL's is that all you have used? and what kind...can they be added to a HPS instead of another 600watt HPS like I planned... so I dont start putting this old wiring to the test in this old apartment building. Do you know the approximately how many would equal the same output?

Yeah I am all about the CFLs. They make great supplementary lighting. As long as they are at least 23w witch is a hundred watt equivalent As for, yield you can expect a couple oz's off of a well taken care of plant. Get us some pics and we can get a better idea of where you are at.

Thanks Blunt. I grew out a twenty seed mix from the same breeder so it is possible I have had it before and didn't know it. I will know soon enough as they should be ready in about another month or so. I will say that I was not disappointed with anything that came out of the mix.
