I updated some of my equipment in the tent. I finally found a hydroponics store in the area and I just had to go check it out. I went in not really planning to buy anything but I left with a 150w sun system and a 4" inline hydrofarm fan. Now i just need a dimmer for the fan, its kinda loud... Hopefully this light will allow me to push out a better yield than what i got last time...The guy at the hydro shop was really cool and even gave me a freebie of KoolBloom, and im really looking forward to trying this out.

Damn Bleu nice upgrade the plant should be thanking you. How are the temps with the inline and 150 watt? I am planning on putting a 250 watt in a similar sized tent

Went back to the hydro store today and picked up some FloraKleen and Cal-Mag and got an AquaShield freebie. I think my plant had some cal-mag type of deficiency and/or was getting nute burned, not really certain but you can see from the pics that the leaves dont look quite right.

I flushed for a few hours with FloraKleen then mixed up a new nute batch for the transition into flowering. I use 3.5 gal of water in my DWC bucket but this time I only calculated to use nutes for 3 gal. In addition to the normal Flora series this time I added KoolBloom, Cal-Mag, and AquaShield. Hopefully this will help boost this plant through the flowering and fruiting stage.

Lots of new growth tips

The roots are actually very nice and white, lighting in this photo does not do justice. Not sure about the thicker slightly green roots, but I'm pretty certain that it is not algae.

The regimen lineup

Lots of buds starting to pop up everywhere. Fresh nutes should induce even more

Nice thick stems, I think the silica stone medium is helping with this.

Looking super nice man.
I just recently made a little DWC to grow some Jalepeno peppers and Habanero peppers.
Right now they are under two 23 watt 6500°K CFL's
Following your journal has me wanting to grow some veggies indoors haha
Keep up the excellent work man, and if you wanna check out my journal in a few days I should have some pics up of the sprouts

Hey Bleu did you ever put anything in that sweet diy ebb and flow system you made? If you did I would love to see some pics of the plants and the setup itself

Nope, not yet. I really would like to make an ebb&flow thats bigger and utilizes more space space in my tent. I'm having trouble finding a tub that I like that is a bit smaller than 2'x2'. I would also like to get proper fittings before I actually put that one into service. I'f nothing comes up I'll probably give that one a try, maybe fill the whole tub with hydroton and put in four 4" rw cubes...Not sure what to grow in it yet though, Not sure if it would support 4 pepper plants. Maybe strawberries....?

tom, did you ever get a journal up with your peppers?

Nope I haven't had a chance to take pics of them yet. When I do take pics they will be in my journal. The link is in my signature. And about the tray, have you looked at lowe's or home depot? They have mixing tubs that come in a lot of different sizes and maybe on could work in your tent

Thought I would post some more pics before I do a res change tonight...I measured her in at 18" tall x 18" wide.

More buds opening.

I just gave her a hair cut too...

Really nice pics man, I love the close ups of the flower buds. The hair cut looks good I think that should help with airflow. What are you going to use to pollinate? A small paint brush?

Yeah I would def suggest using a small paintbrush to brush the pollen around. Just brush around flower to flower and you should be guaranteed that one will pollinate

Thanks for the tip, i'll definitely do that. I think lack of pollination is where my last grow failed. I'll make it part of my daily routine once the flowers open up some more.

Yup just brush a few strokes on each flower whenever you check on the plant and you should be good. I can't wait to see some peppers on this thing
