Just so happen to come across 2 black lights in my closet i forgot all about when i moved.. Anyone know if those lights would provide any benefit during flowering? Their low heat t8 black lights. Just figured i would throw that out there for anyone with EXPERIENCE on the topic. I don't just want a "no" why? "because i said so" shit battle going on.

Thanks,

It does No benefit at all wrong UV, although a UVB reptile light, will help increase the trichome numbers.... Caution if using these lights must use glasses or turned off while in room with plants... They are the same light people use in tanning beds as well, may cause cancer to long exposure.... But 4-6 hours on during the flowering period, helps to mimic the suns radiation, and the plants react like outside and defend themselves by forming trichomes to be protected.... When growing outdoors, you may notice that the higher the elevation a plant is grown the more potent and resin/trichomes the plants will be compared to the same strain grown in a lower elevation... even as subtle as a few hundred feet... Also the years that the sun shows lower levels of sun spots, are the years that the radiation is in more abundance for the plants....

you know, i actually have a connect to get a light from work that we use to detect freon leaks for a/c. we are required to use glasses while using it. I will look at it tomorrow and see exactly what kind of light it is. If it is UVB then......... hmmmm Mr Manager. The a/c lights gone.. ..... doo da dop dop doooooo

Im growin some ww. figured it would be a cool growin a white sativa under black lights. So there is no dark lights that provide a good enough spectrum to use all through flowering?
