Black Helicopters

Earlier tonight, I heard a helicopter getting close, but it was louder than they normally are. I peeked out the blinds, and saw a black helicopter with only a single front white light on flying past my place. He was very low(200-300ft), and way to close for comfort. Then I see in front of it two more helicopters both running dark.

These guys weren't going slow either, they zipped by pretty quickly. Ive never seen a helicopter flying dark at night before. They looked awfully similar to Apaches.

I start to get worried at this point. Then 5 minutes later, here they come again from the opposite direction. Zipped by real quick, with the front two still running dark. The rear one's white light was now red, and then they were gone.


Anyone here have any experiences with search helicopters?

Needless to say, all the plants, weed, tent & light, and paraphernalia has been removed.

usually the pot sniffing copters show up in ones, what could 3 do that 1 couldn't?
sounds more like some military maneuvers/training

I use to live in upstate NY and there were lots of outdoor growers in the hills. The cops would use choppers starting in late summer through fall. It was always only one chopper though and it was blue with a white nose. Black choppers sounds more like they were looking for aliens or some other dark government plan... I think you are fine.

Id like to hope it was military training only, but there are no close by military bases that would be doing training. Although, I do have a XBI, X Bureau of Investigation near me. X being my state. That definitely doesn't help the paranoia in me.

Hopefully, they were just searching for little gray men.

i still live in upstate NY, and this fall the copters were out in force
think the spotters here are NYS Trooper copters, no attempt at concealment of who they are, probably they like the bit of 'fear factor'

i was buggin out last month i had f16's flying over my house like 3 days in a row but i found it later it was just military exercise lol , i'd search your local news website maybe you can find out what was going on, im sure your neighbors and others around you were wondering the same thing? you should have the right to know why there was three black helicopters hovering so low from your residence

I was wrong about any type of air base.

My roommate who was asleep at the time has lived here longer, and he thinks it was the Air National Guard Base doing some sort of exercise, even though he hasn't seen them flying around here in some time. Theiy're about 8 miles away from me. Still freaks me out to have these heli's flying around here like this. Ive been living here for 2-3 years and never seen em.

Hopefully its no biggie, and I can resume operations in awhile.

Don't worry bro. Those aren't police choppers. More than likely they are military. Police choppers don't fly in formation and they typically don't fly blacked out. Helicopters are very expensive to fly.............very, expensive! They wouldn't be flying super low and they wouldn't be flying blacked out if they were looking. They wouldn't have zipped by either. They would've had to go slower so they could get a good scan with the thermal imager. Smoke a bowl and relax, you're fine. bongsmilie

I smoked a bowl after work today and feeling good. Although a cop did pull up to where I work today. That doesn't help the paranoia. I was glad when he left. ahaha.

That's one of the only problems with this hobby. Every van is a fucking electronic listening post, every helicopter is searching for heat signatures, every cop is trawling for stoned and careless growers. It's tough to get past the whole paranoia thing but blending in to mainstream society and being a good citizen go a long way to keeping the suspicious eye of big brother looking in other directions. Know what I mean? bongsmilie

Funny you should mention it !!! just had 3 fly over" directly over" my house the other day!! 1 leadin and 2 side by side!!
they are apaches!! at least the ones over my house were!! black also!! next time it happens .....get the ole RPG's out !! LMAO!! and im in an illegal state to!!

Dude, if you got an Air national guard field nearby you shouldn't be trippin at all. Just because you havent heard them in a while only means they have probably refitted for a new deployment. There is always some down time between deployments for those types of units. Before they redeploy, they hone the sword. That means they up the activity and drill level prior to leaving.
