Ok so I have two books and one says dunk and roll, the other says just take off the lid and put it in the chamber. They both claim to be the Updated Tek. SO which should I believe?

Like Desr said if you leave it in the jar then it won't fruit. The glass will prevent the mushrooms from forming because they won't be able to break through the glass. That is why you remove the cake when the mycelium
is fully formed.

Don't worry about casing until you have the basics down. Once you are confident with dunked cakes you can worry about the more advanced stuff.

Thanks, it looks neat for people who don't need the heavy yield of bulk substrates. Might give it a whirl myself.

thanks for the input guys, but the way it's illustrated in the book is, after the cakes have fully colonized you just remove the lid and put in the fruiting chamber Wrap duct tape or something around the sides so nothing is exposed to light except for the top. Supposedly (whoever it's spelled) they have only growth on the top where the jar is open. THey claim bigger mushrooms and more flushes as well as less humidity needed as it creates it's own micro-climate. I am very hesitant on this way since NO ONE has seemed to heard of it...
Although I guess now is a great time to just do an experiment, Leave some cakes in and others out and see what happens.
I wish I would have never done PF tek to begin with...

Thats what I'm thinking, I am a little taken that this method was actually published in a book: Psilocybin Mushroom Handbook by L.G. Nicholas and Kerry Ogame. and no one has heard of it and I can't seem to find much info on it. So im with ya and I'll probably leave it alone.
