Biodiesel Mass.. maybe?

CFLs in soil atm, but I have a couple Kessils in the mail on their way, so I'll be LED with cfl supplements this week. I'm stealth growing in a 4x3 with a Dark Devil the same age. I'm going to "try" for big(ger) plants, the DD is in a 3 gallon and the BDM is in a 5 gallon. Hopefully by the end of next month I'll have the CFLs totally phased out. That's the plan atm. From what I read BDM is a big resin producer and Kessils are good about penetration so I think I will end up with good results.
 
grew a bdm for my first grow, its a nice plant. had the seed casing issue with a white dwarf i grew at the sane time, i left it for a while then helped it off with tweezers after spraying it. think the little struggle helps make then stronger in the long run
 
yea, I was worried about getting a runt, but I'm glad to be wrong. heck, she is almost out pacing the DD visually. she just seems bigger cause of those ginormous fan leaves lol.

Wish I could afford an LED setup! Is Dark Devil an auto? I've never heard of that strain but it sure sounds badass!
 
I am a herbies pick n mix lover already;-) super cheap and great selection! Plus my seeds didn't get seized haha

damn, chi town is bad. guess they are hitting everyone. Only issue I've had is USPS deciding to hold my seeds in NY until an order from china came through the same port which delayed it all by 6 days.

yea I have not found a better place yet. other places give more seeds but honestly, free seeds I'll never grow don't mean much to me. I want raw selection so I can sample strains.
 
I can already tell the BioMass will be a monster. Here she is side by side the Dark Devil.

are those the kessils ?
i run my lights higher at first so my nodes dont get too tight
they should be taking off any day now they do seem a little compact but might just be laying down some massive roots
you do water when your pot is lite?
 
No kessils yet, looks like ups wont deliver ground on Saturday so I may try to go pick em up. I was watering their starter cup with a syringe and now im spraying the topsoil. Havnt done any heavy watering since the inital pre plant wetting.
 
finally got my kessils, at 5:30pm no less. whatdafukk!!! :wall:

anyway, on to happy growin vibes :bigjoint::eyesmoke::eyesmoke: These kessils are BRIGHT!!! hurt my eyes bright, thank god the cfls wash em out a little. time for some eye protection. I expect to see some major growth soon.

Something about this BioMass just seems to have it's own character, hope the smoke is good, been a fun one to grow. Now using 105 watts 65k, 130 watts 27k CFLs, and 2x Kessil LED HP150 Magenta. Two of my fixutres died on me so I was out two 85W 65k bulbs for almost two weeks. Then it took over a week to get the kessils cause of the holiday. Ordered Thursday, didn't go out Friday, then because of Labor day my gear didn't even ship till Tuesday, then UPS wouldn't deliver Saturdays.. lol.

Almost makes me wanna start over since the Kessils are coming in late, so this cant be a true LED comparison/journal but I'll be starting some Nirvana Blue Mystic Auto again next with some Bubbleicious Auto, and I'll probably do a test run with just 3 Kessil 150s on two plants, maybe a 350 and 2x150s. I had planned on getting like 2x350s and 4x150s but they are way more intense than I thought. I dont want to run more than 2-3 plants tops atm, and I definitely won't need as many lights as I thought. Gonna have to turn off the leds for pics from now on, they mess with the focus pretty hard on my camera.

Dark Devil is in full bondage for now. she looks kinda small but I added more topsoil and buried her up to her cotyledons so it's just an illusion :weed:

I'm going to LST mine up here after the next watering in a day or 2. I've never LST'd so I'm not sure how its going to work, but ill figure it out! Great looking girls btw orange! Your BDM is going balls to the wall haha
 
this is nothing unusal...i have seen it before...its jsut the way the seed sprouted and stuck to the stem, you can pluck it right off if you want, i do it all the time and have seen this many times when starting big groups of seedlings....its just sort of the way some plants start, nothing to worry about and it looks good...best of luck
