So your at 109% saturation before adding the oxygen injection? Girls look happy. Are you also running a ph controller? Would be cool to see your salt mixing wizardry in action too. Haven't seen anyone who mixes their own nutes look this good. Is that 6 or 8inch diameter pipe?

It mainly hangs around 105%. It fluctuates, I can't quite put my finger on why.. For oxygenation I have a homemade protein skimmer, and a couple of homemade trickle filters. The skimmer isn't working as well as I'd like yet.
Are you also running a ph controller?
No. I have plans to build a dosing setup. The DO controller can measure and control many things (conductivity, pH, ORP, Nitrate, turbidity etc etc) depending on the probes I have, but they're not cheap. In the meantime I run a low pH in the top-off Res and add a bit of nitric acid every day to keep on top of pH in the active parts of the system.

I don't do anything special, I weigh the individual salts and add to the top-off reservoir every time it's empty and refilled. It's easier to use stock solutions. I've done it every way. I'm waiting on some 5 litre buckets so I can make a 100g/L stock of each salt to save the weighing and panic if batteries fail on the scales. I have a few different recipes for different systems and stages of growth so don't really use the A and B concentrate method anymore.

It's 6 inch.

Concentrators are much more expensive, especially if you're buying new. But then there can be rental costs on bottles! :D

I'm not a fan of consumable products coming and going, but bottles might be the go. We'll see..
