I love the hunting thing, but play by the rules - I decided long ago that its wayyyy easier to remember the truth than the alternative.nice pics guys, i have been through my classes now and got my license just didn't get the tag for the area i wanted, so now i dont know what to do..... i want to look into another place but i thought the raffle was over aww i dont know how all this shit works still grrr i just want to grab my rifle and go, dam tags and paper work.
Any tips for a newbie

yea i will be big on rules no problem there i heard the story's of what they can do to you if they find you breaking any rules even the small ones.
I want to just walk into my local fishandgame and ask to have a sit down lmao, but i dont think they would go for it. I have been reading there site tons of good info so i will be reading for awhile. I am planning on trying to look into every thing i have to do for my next years hunting trip, thats even if i get the tag i am going for. I just rushed and got a license after my class then found out theres allot more to it then that. so now trying to see if i can use the license i got or is it lost money.

I'm on a first name basis with Fish & game here. Primarily they are just guys & gals trying to do their job, not head hunters & believe me they will actually appreciate your asking them specific questions. And be straight up with them, they won't steer you wrong.

I'd hunt there I think! Any idea if there's a trail into a clearing or bottleneck they are using? Am betting with that amount of cow's that there a few decent bull hanging - too early for rut, but they always know where the pussy is.
Cool, I'm jazzed to go. Looks like my traditional "Moose partner" won't be able to make it this year so I'm go'in solo into the Ak Range via Yamaha (Griz). Should be fun!

nice mygirls, looks like thoughs trail cams come in very handy.............. i get a pack that comes through the back of my cabin, funny shit how long they wait in between each little group before coming down the mountian to the stream......then after every ones down if i am lucky a nice buck will come down, hes always up there just already knows everyone is gunning for him.
My boy told me he sees a huge buck all year right by his cabin but when season starts hes gone, comes back at the end of season been doing this for a few years now
thats a huge bear Greatwhitenorth, like mygirls said whats the story about packing that out....... just getting into hunting so i will start with deer if a bear trys to hunt me down then i will end the day with a bear over back, i think the dogs would love the new rug, the little women not to much oh well thats what we have dins for.
(OH shit was just wondering, i believe i already know the answer but do you all take rips out there when your hunting ? ? just thinking the smell and shit i dont want to give me self away but then they have those small little vaps)

hell ya not when im sitting in one place though. only when im walking.. i am going to rub a bunch of pot on me and put sum stinky as leafs in my pockets for extra sent cover this year..

I used to hunt but don't anymore. No issue. just different circumstances. I am amazed at how "extreme" hunting and trophy hunting has become ...or maybe I just never knew about it .... but like hunting grizzlies with handguns, polar bears with a bow, and of course there's Africa and the Cape Buffalo, Lions, etc. Sems like it is a dying breed though ..... tough to see when you have massive components of the economy and conservation efforts are driven by hunting/fishing.

im all about the meat to feed my family, yes it has to be a legal. it would be nice if it has a big as rack to brag about to boot.. but if not im still happy when i sit down with the family around a nice hot deer steak....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
