Big Big trouble!!!

Now then,

Disaster has struck this morning, whilst watering my babies. The chain that hold's my light up snapped, narrowly missing me but it caught the left side off one off my girls and snapped two of her leaves off from the top two nodes on the left side.

She's about 2 weeks into flowering and was doing great. Is this going to stress her and ultimately lead to her dyin or should she be ok and pull through?

She's one of three that I've got flowering and I could really do without losing her. They are mainly sativa.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No sorry no pic's. I'm just happy it wasn't the stem. Could have been a lot worse. You think it will survive?

Damage caused to the leaves are not going to stress your plants to a noticeable level. You should be perfectly fine. Find a better light hanging system though.

It ripped the branches from the stem, but from what I can see it didnt cause any noticable damage to the stem. I'm working on a new lighting system now. That's not happening again.

that sucks. she should be ok but some of her growth will proably slow for a few days. these plants grow so fast that she should fine

I know, mine are really taking off. flowered them at about 7 inchs to keep them small for the size I was working in and now the tallest is nearly 30 inchs and still growing. Nearly out of space. Anyone got any ideas what to do when space is a lacking?

You can tie down the stem to LST them. That is Low Stress Training. I have attached a pic of LST in the early stages. I usually LST my mothers. You just have to be careful to bend and tie down the stem so that you do not break it. Sometimes I go back and bend more after a couple of days after it has accepted the new growing strategy. You can read up on LST in the GrowFAQ at the top of each page.

the plant will heal itself first then go back to flowering. think of the stem like skin on your body. you get a scrap or cut your body puts it's energy to heal it's self. you probaly could feed her with some nutes to help growth.
Anybody if I'm wrong let this guy know.

I think I may have just solved all my problems in one. Taking the advice of little tommy and the fact that space was running out rapidly. I've decided to go down the LST route. Just finished tying my plants down and I dont know why I didnt do it from the start. Nearly every bud sight is now exposed and I've got a good feeling the yeild will be better then it ever could have been before. Plus the branches that broke this morning have sort of of helped open up another bud site.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Fingers Crossed.
