Biden is clever enough to still be running circles around the world dictators' attempts to trigger world war 3.

I'm sick of Orban and his using his NATO vote as a tool to gain concessions, wish there were protocols to terminate NATO membership, during such critical times when NATO must respond quickly in the future,Orban obstructs for attention or simply intransigence while embracing Putin's Russia. Hungary isn't very important to NATO militarily, put him on notice of that,NATO doesn't need Hungary(and I have some Hungarian in me ethnically). This action could also cool Erdogan's jets a bit also, though Turkey is a much more important NATO member.
It does give the world a heads up though on where they are at.

I look at it a lot like why the Trump forces the Republicans in the house to vote for stupid shit like voting against border security (even though Biden baited them in with giving them their hateful wet dreams with everything they ever said they wanted), so that they can get a public record on what it is that they are for/against. Orban keeps outing himself as a Putin puppet, just like the Republicans in the house do (because they are either corrupt as fuck, or pussies enough to bend the knee to Putin's>>Trump's agenda).

I actually have a very good friend who is from Turkey and remember one time we were talking about it and he flat out said he was cool with a dictatorship, and preferred it. It was a very ah-hah moment for me that people were actually ok with bending a knee. That is something that as a American I am really, really, really not able to understand. Kings/racists/anyone that thinks they are 'better' than anyone else is just something that I cannot understand and think is extremely ignorant.
Really, how Biden deals w/all the briefings,Congress meetings, policy, ever changing crisis's foreign and domestic day to day, travel etc. for a 80 yo would have me dizzy at 22 yrs younger, how can you not cut the man some slack unless your ignorant or lack empathy.
meh he's been doing it for half a century now, I am sure if nothing else he has either seen it, or seen it developing since it has been happening. Maybe early on he was surprised about it, but after decades of having his 'why would we bus people to good schools (because it would be far better/easier/cost effective to just make better schools in the areas that have been getting shitted on for decades) thrown in his face' he now has to be able to see it all for what it is.

The great thing about our nation is that 80+ people are able to vote, and even though a lot of 80+ people are racist/sexist/homophobic/ect, Biden doesn't tick any of the boxes that they shit themselves over and can not only win their vote, but not scare them into not giving him the house/senate/state level votes to offset any power they give him like a lot of the other 'better' Democratic candidates would.
That man probably spells it aMErica

The mere fact that such a transparent poser, candy ass, draft dodging, supposed strong man tough guy, silver spooned and set up by daddy yet fk'd that up w/5 bankruptcies yet flips the narrative as a rival to the success of Warren Buffet or Bill Gates,so desperate to put his name on any trinkets for sale at the Trump store resonates w/40+% of Americans is emblematic of something deeply wrong in our nation even if his sham campaign takes the dirt nap in Nov.

20-ish%, got to remember it is 40+% of the voting public and that is not the same as the entire population, which is how the right wing propagandists in the Republican Party have been able to gerrymander/voter suppress their way into maintaining control has been able to be so persistent.

This electoral vote thing is scary, when only 8-10 'Battle ground" state matter,I know it keeps the less pop. states in the game, but seeing this MF losing by millions yet "winning" a Presidency is bogus. And looking at gerrymandered districts is a fkn shitshow, straight lines and 90 degree angles not the fkn connect the dots game.

The ability to find ways to cheat the system when given decades(centuries/millennium) of a head start in writing the rules is pretty impressive.

Just consider the civil war type diatribe Trump would be launching if his/Hillary's situation were reversed,HE loses the election but got 2M more actual votes, his 7 yo mind couldn't grasp the concept, we all know Biden is getting at least 3-4 M more votes in 2024 too.

I actually think about that a lot.

If Comey would not have come out and outed the 'but Hilary' last minute laptop emails on dick pic mastero wiener's computer that were being buried by the same people who just happen to be found to have been duped for Guliani and the Russian propagandists where hopping to use in 2016. They just would have pulled their 'stop the steal' bullshit 4 years earlier and had the GQP impeach Clinton and we would have started this nonsense in 2020 instead of finding out the that the Russians were attacking our vulnerable in 2018.

But think if I'm remembering right, Hilary got 5 million more votes than Trump, and Bien got 7mil more.

Yeah, you're prob right,I just knew that he's lost both pop. votes by millions, not the true numbers.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. will begin airdropping humanitarian assistance into Gaza, President Joe Biden said Friday, a day after more than 100 Palestinians were killed during a chaotic encounter with Israeli troops.

The president announced the move after at least 115 Palestinians were killed and more than 750 others were injured, according to Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, on Thursday when witnesses said Israeli troops opened fire as huge crowds raced to pull goods off an aid convoy.

Biden said the airdrops would begin soon and that the United States was looking into additional ways to facilitate getting badly needed aid into the war-battered territory to ease the suffering of Palestinians.

“In the coming days we’re going to join with our friends in Jordan and others who are providing airdrops of additional food and supplies” and will “seek to open up other avenues in, including possibly a marine corridor,” Biden said.

The president twice referred to airdrops to help Ukraine, but White House officials clarified that he was referring to Gaza.

Israel said many of the dead were trampled in a stampede linked to the chaos and that its troops fired at some in the crowd who they believed moved toward them in a threatening way. The Israeli government has said it is investigating the matter.

Biden made the announcement while hosting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the White house.

“Aid flowing to Gaza is nowhere nearly enough,” Biden said. “Now, it’s nowhere nearly enough. Innocent lives are on the line and children’s lives are on the line. We won’t stand by until we get more aid in there. We should be getting hundreds of trucks in, not just several.”

The White House, State Department and Pentagon had been weighing the merits of U.S. military airdrops of assistance for several months, but had held off due to concerns that the method is inefficient, has no way of ensuring the aid gets to civilians in need and cannot make up for overland aid deliveries.

Administration officials said their preference was to further increase overland aid deliveries through the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border points and to try to get Israel to open the Erez Crossing into northern Gaza.

The incident on Thursday appeared to tip the balance and push Biden to approve airdrops. White House national security spokesman John Kirby said that airdrops are difficult operations, but the acute need for aid in Gaza informed the president’s decision.

He stressed that ground routes will be continued to be used to get aid into Gaza, and that the airdrops are a supplemental effort.

“It’s not the kind of thing you want to do in a heartbeat. you want to think it through carefully,” Kirby said. He added, “There’s few military operations that are more complicated than humanitarian assistance airdrops”

Biden in his visit with Meloni at the White House on Friday also sought to assure European leaders that the U.S. remains behind Ukraine even as he’s been unable to win passage of a supplemental foreign aid package that includes $60 billion for Ukraine in addition to $35 billion for Israel and Taiwan. The legislation has passed the Senate, but Republican Speaker Mike Johnson has refused to put it up for a vote in the House.

Ahead of Meloni’s visit, White House officials said they don’t have good answers for allies about finding an end to the impasse with House Republicans and reopening the American spigot of aid to Kyiv that’s badly needed as Ukraine tries to fend off Russia’s invasion.

Biden, along with top Democrats and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, strongly urged Johnson during a White House meeting this week to take up the foreign aid package, but Johnson responded by saying that Congress “must take care of America’s needs first.”

The leaders’ agenda also discussed the U.S., Egypt and Qatar to broker an extended cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, Italy’s priorities for a G7 presidency, migrant flows into Italy from North Africa, and their countries’ China policies.

Biden said earlier this week that he was optimistic that a cease-fire deal could be reached by early next week. But he acknowledged that a prospective deal may have been set back after Israeli troops on Thursday fired on a large crowd of Palestinians racing to pull food off the aid convoy.

With Meloni by his side, Biden on Friday expressed cautious optimism that a deal can still be struck.

“We’ve been working and hopefully we’ll know shortly,” Biden said.

Meloni said solving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza was Italy’s top priority.

“We need to coordinate our actions to avoid an escalation, and this regard we fully support the U.S. mediation efforts,” she said.

This is the kind of shit that keeps Biden doing the hard choice and funding the Isreali's defense which then gets trolled as 'helping Netanyahu's genocide'. I do not question for a minute that Netanyahu is a murderous dictator trying like hell to evade justice in his own nation by maintaining power.

But it makes sense that if we abandon our actual American ally and break our treaties (https://www.state.gov/u-s-security-cooperation-with-israel/), innocent people living in Isreal with be killed by these terrorists that they are surrounded by that are nonstop peppering them with bombs. And that would be a domino that leads to China attacking Taiwan and we would likely be in ww3.

Don’t we also have a treaty with Ukraine pledging them security when they gave up their nukes? I could be wrong.
