Best way to veg 10 plants + 1 mother in 4x4 area with 600W MH

Hey guys,

im on my 4th week flowering of my 1st grow and i was planning on getting a DR 240 for my next grow and a 120 for vegging in.

I am using DWC Bubblers atm to flower in and thats what i will be using in the big tent. But in the little tent i will be vegging and keeping mothers for the big tent and was wondering what the best way for size usage.

I think that if i was using bubblers in the 120 i couldnt fit that many at all with a mother in there so need a way that will utilitze my space. I am hoping to be able to veg some decent sized plants really too. around 4 or so weeks.

Any ideas appreciated, u guys think i have enough room for 10 vegging in a 1.2 x 1.2m tent?

not like the kind of question i can find an answer for in 1 search.

as additional info,
im going to be vegging 5 + 2 mother plants at a time in the tent for 4 weeks to save room and il have a 1month harvest.
All i need is a little advice on what method is ideal in terms of size and ease of moving the vegged plants into 4inch netpot bubblers.

i would use 4 gallon buckets. obv the mom will be much taller than the others so are you taking the cuttings from the bottom and leeting her grow upward? if so then i would build a 4 x 4 table with a corner cut off. allow the mom to sit in that corner on the ground and the rest of the 10 plants on the table. otherwise just lst and top the mom to stay the same height as the veggers.

after seeing this id say spend $80 and get a cheap 2x4x5 mom tent.

yea i decided i would only veg half of the plants at a time in the tent for 3-4 weeks so i have enough time to have 2 constant cycles, so every 4 week harvest.
i should be able to fit 2 Lst'd and topped moms + 5 vegging clones upto 3-4 weeks old before flower in a 1.2m sq tent right?

i just need to figure what method im going to use to veg them.
Im only Hydro atm so would be pointless doing them in Soil.

i have germinated 5 big bang seeds now and 1-2 of the sprouts are just opening up, really cool to watch.
about 1 hour ago when i checked you could just see her coming from the rockwool, and now its already showing its baby leaves.

anyways, this gives me about 2 weeks to sort out a place to mother one of these seedlings.

what is the most effecient / easiest way to veg plants before putting them in a DWC bubbler system..
I dont really want to spend too much just on a simple veg system either.

any ideas?

dont mean to sound like an ass but,
since nobody will help me i guess il just stick with DWC bubblers.

5gal, 4 inch netpots not a recirc system though like i have for flowering so that i can move them around and stuff.
this seems like the best method to me atm, considering the ease of being able to just swap the lid with the netpot in.

The only Drawback ive been thinking of is if they will all fit.

I was thinking the tent setup should look something like this:

O = Bucket 0= Mother buckets

at the back,
________
| 0 0 |
|O O O |
| O O | 1.2m x 1.2m tent (4x4ft)
|_______|
sry for diagram, automatically goes like this, 2 mothers at the back of the tent with a row of 3 plants infront of the mothers followed by a row of 2 more plants. So 3 rows in a 1.2m sq

the 1st 4 weeks il veg 5 plants and put them in flower, then il veg another 5 to put in the flower room so that i have a 4 week harvest

just hoping 7 bubbler plants can fit in a 4x4 :(

You Could fit 7.
Love the diagram!
If going with 7 you will be short on space if things get out of control height wise.
Getting tall can make problems Too Close to light and possibly not enough light to lower sections of plants, If light can not penetrate canopy.

I have 4x4 I could cram 9 buckets into it, but I think I would be cutting myself short when it comes to yield.
I've been told I would have a better yield, If I could keep it to a smaller number of plants.
This would allow the plants to better use the light.

What about this.
if using an air cooled hood, mount hood to rear of grow area, when mounting angle the light to point at the front most wall. I think that this mounting would allow for higher plants and still enough light to the lower plants. So when those mothers grow up and are much taller they wont be touching the light and can try to grow as high as your grow area.


as for easiest way to Veg, while flowering in main area.
Personally I am getting ready to make a small stealth type cabinet. I may use CFL X8. 24HRs till 8-12in.
Was thinking about searching craigslist for a free nightstand/dresser to modify.
I don't think it will cost me too much and will be able to help me with a constant rotation.

yea i didnt really think of the fact that i would have to raise light with the mothers and the light would be really far away from the smaller vegging plants,
think i will have to angle the light like you said.

is it possible to top the shit out of the mother plants and keep them really compact or i guess they will get really bushy then..

you dont need a mother just take cuttings from plants as u switch them from veg to flower tent

yea i suppose i could do that.
Maybe its a myth but i heard if you take clones from a clone and keep making more mothers from the clones for several generations it fucks up the gene pool or smth?
i personally woulda thought that they would be all genetic copies, ideas?

And when i would take clones from the vegging plants i would have to allow 2 weeks for rooting the cuttings, so i would have to take cuttings off of my Super lemon haze and Big bang seedlings after 2 weeks of vegging.

So.. after the the 5 vegging plants are 4 weeks old i am ready with 5 rooted cuttings chosen from the strongest of the plants to put 5 more in veg for my 4 weeks perpertual
