OK, so I run a large industrial humidifier from hydrofogger that has an output of 1 gal per hour. I run 1000w gavitas so it is constantIy misting. I filter my water with the small boy filter from hydrologic. eventually after a couple weeks of running I end up with a layer of white mineral powder covering everything in the room. thinking about upgrading to the carbon filter for the small boy and throwing in a tablet every so often, but with such a large application im not sure how effective the tablets will be. switching to RO is not really an option ATM.
Has anyone used demineralizing tablets in their reservoir? results?

does anyone know if the carbon filter upgrade will filter the minerals? site says chloramine, chlorine, iron, sulfur and heavy metals.
