Best system for SOG?

damn I'm surprised you say that about the ebb and flow, but I've decided I'm going with ebb and flow at first and if i decide to go aero i can just build custom sprayers with pvc and put it in the f&d trays
the ebb is wonderful but a small res dwc with glass bonded 6lpm stone (lifetime by the way)is for small setups as the ebb is hands down my fav for bigger grows that connect two tents with one res and both tens have hps 1000 and 12 buckets in each 4x8 tent. the advantage gets better when you have more bucets with the ebb because there is less waste per plant because the water pump needs a residual rate of about 5 gallongs in my 55 gal bucket but more plants waste becomes less per grow per plant it adds up and easy to maintain the setup the whole grow

also add some uvb and the i call magic 740nm and you will be in heavenit sounds not true even though ive grown full harvest in under 45 days for a 63-75 day strain its the next light movement as far as im concerned

I agree with Dirt. SOG is all about high numbers, tightly packed, short cycles (veg), and typically clones. Simplicity is the word of the day and for that reason flood tables would be the better choice IMO.
Hey could you maybe anwser my question. I have 9 clones in 6.5 liter , 600w coco, they have been in veg for 5days looking real nice, 15-20cm in height. My area is a dr90 3x3x5.6 feet.
- you think its time to flip? Or could i get away with more veg time

No matter what it's gonna get busy lol. I have just over 6' and depending on strain I typically run out of height and start bending. If your growing a stretchy strain and 9 plants (no room to train) you may, yes, want to think about an early flower. Switching early will make for a bit longer flower as well IMO, adds a week or two.

Thanks for the anwser! So what you are saying is its the right hight to start flower now, or should i wait a couple more days get them a little bigger? Its mostly indica kush strains, maybe 2-3sativas long leg bitches.

What node, size do you useually start 12/12 on your clone? :) sorry for the 20questions but i just want to be sure thanks :)

Edit: i am a little stressed about if i start them this small they will just give 10grams per plant haha! Not execly but i dont want too small of a sog you know what i mean? I have seen some weak ass shit sog with little to nothing from a 600w even :o

hey budley i have a question for you too... I'm going to do a perpetual SOG F&D (2 week old clones go straight to flower) in a botanicare table but I'm going to do a mediumless table... only hydroton will be in the netcups suspended by a tray cover with frequent floods but my problem is its perpetual and i gotta keep plant #s down so I'm not doing any veg.

question 1) can clones stay in a cloner 2 weeks? when would you give them nutes? (what ppm?)

question 2) would the transplant from 18/6 in a clone box one day to flowering in hydroton f&d the next day fuck the plants up from shock or do you think they'll be alright?

Hold on guys lol, your asking a lot of questions that I as a newb can't answer. I've been growing outdoors for a long time but a bit of a newb indoors. All I can do is relay a bit of my own experience. As for veg times I typically veg for 25-30 days because I run into height problems but that's strain dependant. If I run, for instance White Russian, I get into trouble and need to supercrop the shit out of them. My last run of God bud was fine. Check the strain out and read some diaries if out there, that will give you a clue. 9 plants in a 3x3 area is gonna be packed so you won't have much room. SOG grows typically are lots of smallish one bud plants, like a 4x6 tray filled to the max. I grow using low pressure sprayers in deeper covered trays with 6 plants in each setup and flowering room is 4x4 and again strain dependant it gets real busy as well with 6, I really don't go by size before flipping as much as time, but usually they have 4-5 true nodes, top once, let them recover then flip and pray lol. I'm fighting an epic battle of root rot right now so don't feel very knowledgable, grow is going to shit lol.

Two weeks in the cloned should be perfect I would think, depends on how quickly roots develop but 10 days is what it takes for mine to get a decent root structure (not in a cloned FYI). And yes I turn from 18 to 12 all the time. Again I'm no expert and am just winging it mostly. I spray my cuttings with a very diluted mix of water and plant starter nutes from plant prod after dipping in hormone then leave them covered until roots but again not in a cloner, just an opaque tote with t5's.

hey guys I’m trying to start a SOG and i was wondering if any of you guys have any experience in multiple systems with sog? like under perfect conditions what is going to get you the best quality/quantity? I’ve heard aeroponics is the best but what about coco or ebb & flow hydroton? or super soil? I’m open to all suggestions

I’ve also seen aeroponic system like the aquamist thats like aero/dwc, then theres systems like the aeroflo thats like aero/NFT… I’m hoping to hear every ones input, thanks!!
the best system is,fill a flood table 4x4 with 6" Rw cubes, use a 35 gallon res. ad a pump turn on the light hope you have a 10 foot ceiling if you veg longer than 2 weeks

The best system for SOG is F&D. Put 25 freshly rooted clones in a 4'x4'x6"h table with a 1kw hps. Have a 6'x6'x8'h grow space with movable reflective curtains.

I'd say, DWC or NFT with big reservoir and scrog it out. 4 month total grow, after clone, for big plant and big harvest. Fill a new reservoir every two weeks for continuous. 1000watt HPS

10' ceiling? What are you growing? Not saying it wouldn't be nice to have 10' but not many do lol. I'm Not a SOG grower in the true sense but do you really think longer than 14 day veg requires 10'?

the res is under the table so the tray is waist high,at least mine is.So I spose you could use an 8' ceiling an still keep the hood 20" off the top, that is with a short veg,un-topped sativa/hybrid dominate?

The average clone will be three to four feet if started at root under a 1kw hps over a twelve week period. The 1kw hps is suspended from glass to gravel at 44"'s and left there through out the grow.

I would say the GHE Aero 2m2 system i the best system to grow sog in. 115-120 plants. 30-40 grams pr plant.

It fits perfectly in a 4 x 8 tent.
