Aeroponic is how i SOG but I would suggest cutting your teeth with something like DWC for a bit first.
of course its always good to start with the easier way first to get a hang of it but I'm really not trying to get a whole dwc system set up only to reinvest in an aero system after 1 or 2 harvests ya know? plus id rather do aero cause then i feel like if i ever decided to switch to another system it'd be a piece of cake. but could you give me an example of how many watts you have under 1 system/table (width and length) with how many plants and yield?

It wont be a piece of cake , I promise , It is far cheaper to invest into a dwc then it is to invest in aeroponics. Chances are you will fail with aero until you know what you are doing and get the system tuned properly. I know this because I knew and ran a few hydro systems prior to trying aero. ( Gay example) You might be able to drive a clutch in a car but in a semi it is a whole different animal. I run 30 ish in a 3.5 x 3.5 tent with a 27 gal res under a 1000 hps with proper air flow and a 5k btu air conditioner . It took me several months of tuning to get it running right. The whole while I kept my dwc pumping out strong so no loss of meds. I suggest you cut your teeth on dwc first before you try to go aero unless you have no problem going with out or flat out buying your meds cause more then likely you wont make a harvest for a few runs out of aero. :) BB

i definitely hear what you're saying you don't think tutorial forums like the ones i posted below are only good for aero grows with prior experience? but what are you usually yielding with the 30 under a 1k? how much of a difference have you noticed growth speed and yield between aero and dwc? and for dwc what you you just like putting 15 plants in a tote? sorry for all the questions i appreciate all your feedback

pics or journals? so I'm assuming you like f&d better? did you use the rock wool or hydroton for the blue dream and you've done the 2.5-3 in a 4x4 more then once??
I have done 2.5 on a regular basis for 9 months now. Before that I only used 600s and would pull 1.5. Did that for 5 years or so. I have hit 3 per 2 or 3 times during those 9 months.

No journals or anything I don't post pictures for security reasons.

Pretty good numbers..

I hear ya about not posting garden shots, I wish I could post recent SOG shots of my top drip tables but since the garden isn't really mine.. the location anways.

I'm gonna have to give that blue dream a run.

wild how much was u pulling a harvest?
Around .8GPW, after a tight trim. White Widow I know it doesn't look like it will pull that, those plants look kinda lame in there but it will do that. I think I was running PBP.. Might have been part of the problem. Old ass pic in 2008

Wish I could show you guys some GSC SOG shots,.. my grow but not my garden, cool setup super soil on one side SOG and the other side top drip hydro SOG.

Or mebby it never happened.. pics or it didn't happen ;)

Aero is no harder than any other method IMO. With all hydro setups you need to understand PH and EC and how to read and adjust the fluctuations. I actually found DWC to be the most unstable of them all lol. I say jump in and have fun lol. You may want to not buy the most expensive seeds though lol. When I started out I had great luck with Kanabia seeds, very good price point and 100% germ rate. The most potent if them were the White Domina, and the tastiest was Pato1.
