When starting to grow I would just use plain potting soil...maybe a little worm castings mixed but...but dont go crazy with the worm castings...a 1:10 ratio of castings to soil should be plenty...I use FF Ocean Forest with nothing else added because its hot enough already....just mix in some extra perlite I do a 50/50 mix for seedlings....then when your plants are about 3-4 weeks old you should transplant them into their final containers....and for that soil I would have to recommend Subcools Super Soil...recipe can be found in his sub forum....it has everything you need in it...all you have to do is add water....I hope that helps...:weed:

Read the bag someone else did something like this but it was intended for seedlings not for older mature plants!! Thus it ruined there crop.

I am planning on mixing canadian spaughm pete moss, perlite, worm castings, dolomite lime, azomite minerals. I am planning to be adding bio bizz and guano based teas as ferts every week. I am not at the water only grow yet. Soon.

Does this mix sound good or should I add some potting soil or reg compost. I am about to begin vermicompost so I plan to use a lot. ANy data on how long it takes the worms to eat a pile of food? That would be cool as I got a 1000 on the way.;)
