LPS lights produce 190LPW but do not grow plants well. par and ppfd are used by led makers to confuse ignorant buyersWhat leds proved was that efficiency dosent always equal the most grams per watt.

I am sure that you know more than NASA, PHILLIPS (osram) CREE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN who is working with Phillips to develop LEDs as supplemental lighting for greenhouses.or commercial greenhouse operators.

I was young ,arrogant and foolish once but 62 years of living has thought me a lot. you ignore experience at your own expense. I was subjected to random drug testing for most of my life and only started growing and using cannabis 5 years ago when I became an MMJ patient. my grow is a legal PU grow and like most old geezers I did not learn to grow from the internet. I talk to people with training and experience and read published studies. forums like this are just entertainment. and new does not always mean better. almost all commercial growers use HIDs only PU closet growers use cheap Chinese LEDs a small number of dispensaries use T5s claiming that their customers prefer the pot that T5s produce

how many commercial growers have the money to switch out their entire lighting system to change to LED?
How many restaurants have the money to change out their entire cooking range to a more efficient model?
How many schools have the funding to change out all their furniture to new foam bullet stopping furniture?
How many gas stations have the money to change over their coolers to LED backlighted brand new coolers?
How many propane companies have the money to switch out all their conpany vehicles to more gas efficient models?

ask the commercial growers if they would switch out their entire system for more energy efficient, higher yield per watt lights that also reduced their heating/cooling costs.

Kingrow is hit or miss some things he’s got some good info on led he simply doesn’t like for whatever reason. I have qb’s and some citizen 1818 builds but I’m loving my nanolux 315’s currently too. Like I said I feel all of these kinds of lights have their place. All can grow stellar weed it’s all the bs though that leds manufactures claim that’s bs.

There seems to be quite a few gas stations changing their lighting to LED around here as well as cities but there was/is rebates to do so. Now that it’s legal here it may boost the market and lower the price, hopefully.

Commercial grows aren't going LED because it's a step down from what they already have.....they have plenty of money to make a switch, one of the local dispos here just switched there whole room from DE HPS to DE CMH like it was nothing.
LEDs are a laugh out here in Colorado, ask a dispensary what they think of them you'll get an ear full. None of these dispensaries want a light that needs to be 8 inches away from plants when there grow rooms are warehouses.

Not everyone is growing in a warehouse.
Led is far superior to inefficient hot ass hid lighting on smaller scales especially to those who have to watch there light bill
Cobs gave me a better yield over hps or cmh
Hands down 400 watts of properly done led would knock the dick off a 600 hps or cmh.
You just set in your ways and dont wanna admit the numbers dont lie.
On a commercial scale where the light bill dont matter and air conditioning cost are null it makes no sense to switch to led from hps.
For 4x4 4x8 and so on LED all day
Come on Yoda, LED doesn't need to be 8 inches from the plant, but some CAN be 8 inches from the plant.

Yeah LEDs work great for micro/closet grows that can't handle the heat or light intensity from HID lighting, that is correct.
The rest of what you said, not so much.....where do you come up with this stuff by the way? You do realize i have and use LEDs right? I bet my LEDs have more runs on them than you have total grows under your belt.
