Its good when im completely out of bud and dont wanna go buy a zip to get some oil...I kinda wanna pack it with kief and run it see whatsl happens...then cleanse with everclear

Yeah, I like the idea of packing I with kief, maybe introducing some other strata to avoid clogging. Layered with ground up buds or something.

3 gram tube
Half oz tube
2 oz tube ...I dont ever use big tuve I feel it looses yield have to repack n rerun it

Dannoo93
Big tubes do not lose yield. It's a myth. Unless I have some out of the ordinary shaped tube...Maybe mine funnels the butane down through the material better than other big tubes out there I dunno but I consistently yield between 20-28% back on good bud material. Same yield guys get with any small ID tubes.

When we were running open tubes, we got our best yield from the smaller ones, but under an inch ID is such a pain to load and unload, we standardized on one inch.

Now that we are running tubes that soak the material, rather than washing by it, we see less difference.

I did add a top flush line, so that after the final dump, the enriched solvent can be rinsed from the plant material, and if you measured that step closely enough, there should be some difference, because butane flowing through a tube using gravity, finds the easiest way through and doesn't wash evenly, especially at the top of the column, where the butane may not even touch the material surrounding the injection hole itself.

Yes^ What FD said....

I learned the following from FD also...

When loading your column for extraction...
Pack an unbleached coffee filter in the tube before packing your material.

I personally cut out a circle of the coffee filter about ½” larger than the tube's Outer Diameter...
I then lay the filter over lip of the column and use a dowel slightly smaller than the diameter of your column.

This serves a couple different purposes;
First, as FD pointed out..the material around the injection port will now be exposed to the solvent. The filter also creates a barrier, in case of pressure blow back...

I believe it also helps to disperse the butane into a larger channel..
^ The last one is just my guess.

This is way better and cleaner than plain steel, pvc, abs, plastic 2 litter bottle, glass whatever. Made of 304L medical grade stainless steel has a tight inner construction, the ability to stop flow and add heat to make practical use of whatever solvent one chooses to make use of. No participation from chemical reactions make this one bad mutha.

What is long here is verbiage and what is short is perspective.

Cutting to the chase, how about a shoot out between your device and any one of the Terpenators to see who extracts the most quality oil, the fastest, and at the lowest cost?

I have been adding 1 oz of kief to the 4ozs of bud as I grind it up brings the yeild up nicely. getting about 2ozs per case of butain that way. Havent had much to compair too I seem to be the only one in my village that makes it-------------mike

I just bought a CO2 Supercritical Fluid Extractor......this is gonna be fun!
Sweet brother thats a real safe investment. This shits the new coke. After I rehab Im all over it. May be worth selling stuff again. Supper retirement on the way---HeHe---mike

456 to 50 grams of oil ehh

Not worth much more then the pound originally cost

50 grams times 30 1500 u either loose money or break even after the butane and everything

Since my outdoor grown buds are only worth $1,200 whsl in NorCal. And I have to trim it and then get in line to compete with all the other outdoor buds in Cali to vend it.
As CO2 oil it would be worth 1500 and I don't have to trim it close. I will use about $50 in clean CO2 per run. And there is very little competition in CO2 oil. Plus I have access to all the trim I can carry every harvest season...
