Best dehumidifier

Sometimes you just need a better exhaust fan. I’m in s. fl (always high rh) and since moving to a 8” hyper fan, humidity is below 50% with the fan at almost its lowest setting. When I had a 6” duct fan, rh was in the 60’s and the plants were half the size they are now.

My fans aren't the issue IMHO. The humidity of my lung room and where I should Target the problem solving is.

Option 1) drop the humidity in the lung room and let the ventilation controller do everything

Option 2) drop the humidity in the grow closet, be which in turn will drive up temps in said closet causing ventilation to turn on due to high temp and then pull in more humid air again.

I'm leaning towards option 1

Picked up a Homelabs 70pt dehumidifier from Amazon for $230. Running it in my lung room in it's auto setting at 50% Rh and letting the ventilation pull the humidity and heat out is working wonderfully. Settin temps 70-80 now with humidity 48-55. So much happier now that things are starting to get dialed in.

Ok tried the dehumidifier in my lung room for a week and things worked out rather well. My only issue letting the environmental controller use the ventilation to control humidity and temp is that high humidity caused extended run times and in turn drove my low side of the temps down to 65, the temp of the lung room.

So even though space is cramped I put the dehumidifier into the grow space itself and unlocked temp and humidity on the controller. Now I'm having significantly less run time on the dehumidifier as it's working a 70sf space, and my temp ranges have gotten much better between 82-74 (80 max with 6 deadband on controller). So the lie swing is eliminated now and humidity levels are staying 40-60 (60 with 5 deadband on controller).

And minus the start of the grow where I was severely underestimate due to my newbness things are really coming along now with my 6 auto ladies.
