clw make good lights but there is no way to justify that price anymore.

You can get just as good results at a fraction of the price going with COB or QBs.. Kind of like why A51 isnt around anymore. RIP

Context, dude.

I was responding to GFF when he said that "all blurples are trash". They're not all trash was my point.

Is the SS 550 overpriced? Of course. But it's well made with quality components, which was what I was getting at.

I would never recommend an SS over a QB or COB setup.

I found something about led and hps comparison, may help you choose the right light for the grow. https://www.mars-hydro.com/info/hps-vs-led.html

Pros and Cons of different grow light

Light is very important for every plants, someone would like to use HPS, someone would like the natural sun light or led grow lights, so what the difference?

Pros of HPS Grow Lights

  1. HPS are the most efficient type of grow light
  2. HPS grow lights are the most efficient and the best for the flowering stage.
  3. HPS lights are simple to use
Cons of HPS Grow Lights

  1. HPS bulbs get really hot and generate a lot of heat
  2. Additional setup – you need other exhaust fans to dissipate the heat
  3. More parts - HPS lighting means a few more parts than other types of lighting.
Pros of LED grow light

  1. LEDs almost always have built-in cooling that pushes heat up and away from the plants
  2. Plug and play
  3. Some growers believe LEDs produce more resinous bud and Higher THC, will shorten the growth time.

I'm a first time grower, just completed my first harvest ever not even two weeks ago. Have 3 autos growing atm, two seedlings and one in flower.
This is your problem right here. You're growing autos. If you want to maximize your tent, then sog or scrog a few photo's. dont flower it til its filled up. Like i saw you were saying up there. I tried the auto's too, its okay. We all make mistakes. But with the control you have over photos you will do much better in your tent. When I grew a couple autos I did end up pulling about 4.5oz from them, but I did have them finishing up under my 600w, despite living most of their life under a 150w (both HID) for 24/0.

oh yeah thats the other cool thing about photos, is that you only have to run the light half the day during flower, saving you dollarz.

Yea 2 cheapo 300w chinese specials. My Kill-a-watt says 124w at the wall each. Those are tiny 1/2 gal pots, was testing to see how small is to small in coco. Probably do 2 gal here on out. I don't mind testing different ideas on auto's because I only grow them for quick bud.

Make this guy an offer. Umm say $80+shipping

I am modifying my strips by moving them further to the edge of the tray, the center gets extra light from the two sides anyway. Which is to me, the opposite of what the boards are good for.

If I were Stephen, I'd use some of those new super-efficient LEDs and make his own strip boards...
I'd like a triple or 4-row strip

You know :p

Little bit of that slip an slide can get about anything into a tight space :p

Really tho tents can flex out a few inches no problem I'd cram that bitch in there. If the tent rips duct tape it.
oh fuck yeah, all my tents are bulging out in strange places from all the shit I crammed in there, stakes poking at angles, ect. Tents are designed to be used.

Thankfully my 4x4 sits in a 4x7 closet in my basement, so that thing is sealed shut as far as light goes. My other tents, not so much, but I hardly ever flower in either of them, so it doesn't really matter too much. That is a really good idea though, that way you dont gotta worry about any leaks in the main tent. Do you just vent through those too? does the extra tents keep heat in any more than just 1 tent?

I do wish I was able to open up a 2nd side on the 4x4. makes it kind of a pain in the ass to do anything near the back. So much larf right now :/ I got it figured for next go around though.

Ohhh lmao. :P I think it will fit, it's going to be a tight squeeze but it's 24" so I can "astroglid that mf" in there haha.
I'm about to upgrade to the 4x2x6 so i'll toss it in there with more strips. I need to learn all about these samsung led strips cause I bought that light and I don't even know how good it is lol.

/idk wtf that smiley is...
