BC Shops?

I know this is probably a bit niave, but what are the marijuana laws in British columbia? I've heard that it is the same as Amsterdam, but I'm not sure.

I'm planning on going up some time after my current (and hopefully first succesful grow) and actually getting some good quality seeds.

I am in the US and not too far away by car, and would really like to test some of the strains and find my favorites (at least 5 or six strains).

Do they have smoke shops there? And if so, what is the avg. price, is it by gram or what?

u can find out about all this information online just go to google and type in what u wnat to find out and eventually u will find out what information u were looking for

yeah, i know.
I did try that, i guess I'm a little impatient. I got the wikipedia article on BC, which I guess is a little outdated because it said it was still illegal, and then i checked out the BC marijuana party website, which said it was kinda legal.
i kinda got a little tired of looking, and would prefer to hear it from somebody that has actually been there anyway. I'll probably do another search tommorow, I'm sure it's out there somewhere.
Thanks for replying.

its accepted. Not legal. The shops will sell seeds but i dont knowabout samples. That is kinda pushing limits.I know it is no problem to find weed on the street but i highly doubt that the store will give samples. i could be wrong though.:joint:

thanks for the response, I'll probably go up there and check it out. if all I can do is buy seeds, then so be it. That would still be a major improvement, no credit card so nothing online :( . On another note, if i do go up and buy seeds, ill probably buy 5 or 6 strains, but i wont be able to grow them all right away. How should you keep seeds for long periods of time (months) and how long will they stay fertile?

As far as I understand it. Possession is still illegal....though it has changed back and forth a few times.

It is NOT as free as Amsterdam, as far as the laws are concerned.......how much the cops uphold the laws varies GREATLY from town to town, and cop to cop.

There are certain towns in BC that I have personally seen pot plants in the front window of a house, with a back light and white sheet behind it. Full fucking view.

Vancouver is very liberal, and the areas around Lumby, Cherryville and Nakusp are practically "rebel held" territories......so liberal in fact they have heard of Cherryville in Amsterdam. A BC town with less than 500 people, and they have heard of it in some coffee shops in Amsterdam. It is that well known as a pot Mecca.

So, legal to possess and grow.....NO. In the real world.......sometimes or yes, depending on the situation.
