Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

The final batch for 2013 has been moved into flowering, 6 Critical Jacks and 4 Pineapple Expresses. They will all harvest shortly before xmas, leaving an empty garden while we're gone. I'm trying to schedule knee surgery for January, so it will remain down until late February would be my guess...

HA!!! spoiled bastard ;) it builds character...
in my day we had to walk 5 miles, up hill both ways & in the snow! just for a dime bag. har har har.
seriously though i don't envy you on that front. my small ass room should be easy peasy.

Hi Baywatcher hope u dont mind me posting in your thread. I need a pros opinion on my grow. How is it looking so far? Their 6 weeks into veg. The 2 top plants are : right Alien Rock Candy and left is a banana kush. the 2 at the bottom are of unknown strain. How nuch longer should I veg them for? Do you think i'll cover the entire net by the time im done flowering ?

Thanks.

They look great! You should veg them until you have the close to the coverage you want -- they'll mostly be going *up* when you flip. I'd guess 2-3 more weeks. Gaps of 1"-2" are ok, they'll fill in.

On the down side, the humidity was so low in the basement that the plants over-dried while I was away for the holidays. On the up side, this means I don't have to actually trim any of them (I just cut the main stem and hung the whole plant), as it will all be turned into oil by a buddy, and he can deal with the sun leaves as he goes :)

Happy 2014 everyone!

I'm starting to think about what I'm running next, and I believe I'm going to go with a regular Northern Lights. It has always been one of my favorites, I'd like to get it back in rotation. My choice phenos of Pineapple Express and Critical Jack are being kept alive by some other folks, I'll probably grab at minimum the PE back.

Today is the marathon "clean the basement completely for the next round" slog. I'll drop some seeds in paper towels this evening, hopefully. I'm taking a two-prong approach to what I grow this time. I'll start 10 Nirvana Northern Lights reg seeds, and a handful of the various 1-seed freebies I got. That will limit my pheno tracking to one strain. Now to figure out which ones I'll plant...

I hear you. I've been spoiled the last two months -- the only thing I've had to do is water twice a week. Sometimes I went 3 days without ever setting foot in the basement :)

It looks like it's going to take two days. The veg room is now done except for vacuuming. The flower room just needs to have a bunch of dirt dumped out of 7g pots into a trash can, then hauled outside to the (frozen) garden (then thorough vacuum/scrub). It is raining, though, so fuck that today.

I stuck 10 Nirvana Northern Lights (reg) seeds into paper towels today, plus two auto strain single seeds I got free (Barney's Farm Blue Mammoth Auto & Delicious Seeds Northern Lights Blue Auto). I figure the autos will get me a quick harvest that I can, if nothing else, turn into bubble...
