Barneys Farm LSD and Red Dragon Grow

Well, its grow time finally again!

For this grow my strains are
Red Dragon- Barneys
L.S.D- Barneys
La Confidential- DNA
Kush Berry- DNA
Lemon Skunk- DNA

They are all feminized.

Im going with a soiless mix of Peat, perlight, and verm.

Grow room has Mylar walls, cool tube with two 400 watts one HPS and one MH. 6" HO Can Fan cooling those babies.

My nutrients and additives are:

3 part Advanced nutes
Carbo Load AN
Kool Bloom dry and liquid GH
Diamond Nectar GH
Hydroplex Botanicar
Sweet Botanicar
Seaweed Liquid
Reverse,Penetrator Gold DutchMaster

I had a 100% germination and sprout they are now all on there 5 day.

a little stretching occurred because of a confusion on were to keep the 400 MH but nothing to worry about.

I just ordered some Red Dragon seeds; they should be here any day. Did you start yours yet?? If you haven't, we could start a grow together. I always have a problem picking at the perfect time.

I use soil and start with Fluorescents then switch to 600W MH/HPS.

Im going to be posting pics of the little sprouts here tomorrow. Its my first time with the added 400 watt so im pumped.

They did not arrive today. I'll drop them into paper right away. Perhaps tomorrow.

I might go all out. I live in an apartment and have a 5'-0" X 5'-0" X 8'-0" (Height) closet. Hahahaha!!! I figure I can get at least 5 trees in there. Mylar the walls, floor and ceiling. Hell yea. Get some of those tomato cages for the flower pots. I'll be all set. Though, not sure about the lumen output of a 600W with 25 Sq. Ft. of grow space.

Hey man not a problem. The more the better haha.

Yea got my camera today so ill post some pics.

The Red Dragon is doing great same with the other ones. The LSDs have very thin little leaves there weird looking gals. I had to a few months off from growing and am finally getting my hands dirty again. Feels good.

i have a 600w in my 6x3x6 grow room and i plan on adding more lights asap u might want to do the same for 25 square feet

Barneys has some great bud had some LSD and triple zero hash in the dam and it took me out.

Yea, of course you'll be proven right. I'm soooo sick of buying lights. I started with those CFLs and track lights. Then to LED's. Then to 150W HPS. Then to the T5's (8x24W). Then to a 400W HPS. Currently with 600W switchable. As you know, moving up in light size requires new fans and stuff!!!! Ugh! I cashed in all but the T5's and 600W.

This following is remedial but....

Anyone know about electrical?? Anyone??

My concern is the circuit. I can run an extension cord under the carpet from another room into the closet. The electrical outlet is attached to a 15 AMP breaker. Would a 1000W switchable with a small fan and an O3 generator fry the wires in the wall? The last thing I need is to be at fault for torching the complex. The fan will be small because I'm just going to knock a hole into the wall and vent to another area of the apartment.

Also,

Would a 1000W Switchable be good enough for 25 Sq. Ft (5'-0"x5'-0"x8'-0"H ceiling)?? I plan on going 12/12 once the trees are at least 2'-0" tall - maybe even 3'-0" tall. So prolly 6'-0"+ finished.

What most growers i think do is 40-60 watts per Square Foot.

If you are going to frow six foot trees tham i would recomend more lights i know i hate that crap too.

Are you planning on vegging more plants while those are in flower?

If not throw that 600 in there too.

It just depends on what type of light, how many plants, and the grow size.

I'm gonna subscribe, cause I'm planning on starting some L.S.D. hopefully by the first of Feb. depending on grow room construction, etc. How long did it take for you to germ the L.S.D.? Hope you don't mind a couple questions.

I've got some LSD going too! Though mine got off to a horrible start...they almost froze to death! I didn't have my new grow area ready yet and they got frosted...stopped them in their tracks for a couple of weeks. They're a month and a week old...with just 4 sets of leaves! I've got them all nice and warm now...if you call temps in the 50s when it's below freezing outside "warm".

I decided to do a vertical grow this time and I tore down everything and hadn't gotten anything built when we had a hard freeze with temps in the 20's. There were my new babies, sitting in the middle of the floor with just a 400W light above them for heat. Those poor roots!

They suffered from the cold big time! A serious Mg deficiency, drooping leaves, no growth...remember to keep them babies warm! They'll handle 100+ better than below 40. Weed doesn't grow well in a place you can see your breath!

Anyway, you'll probably be passing me up here shortly if mine don't get their shit together. They're FINALLY looking better. Growth is slowly coming back, the new leaves are finally reaching up, the old ones are yellow, purple, leathery, drooping, and dry...dying actually. I'm spraying them with a very weak nute mix (A/N Sensi) and some Epsom Salt and SuperThrive (hopefully it will help the roots) to nurse them back.

I've noticed that the LSD serrations are very "jagged", "angular" compared to the nice smooth, roundness of the other plants. I can identify them easily.

Besides the LSD, I'm growing CindyHaze (wally Duck), Apollo 11 (Joey Weed), Satori, and Afghan to help me sleep. They've all got their own "look" to them. The CindyHaze and A11 look very similar...as they should, they have the same lineage. The Satori is a beast of a plant...well it would have been... And the Afghan are short, squat, "thick" looking plants.

Well with me i just do the paper towel plate style. They all Germed in two days.

O know it sucks with the cold...
My plants im sure are facing some problems in the cool nights. I have a well insolated room though, but i think im going to start the light at night to keep em warmer. Or maybe just a heater.....

My shipment arrived today. Two Weeks from Attitude.

I have four Red Dragons in a cup and four White Russians in a cup. Hell yea!

My plants are doing great. I lost the lemon skunk though it kinda just was on its last legs and i had no patients to keep giving it CPR everyday lol so i ripped it.

Three of four White Russians have cracked/are beginning to sprout. One of four Red Dragons has cracked/is beginning to sprout. May toss them into some seedling soil tomorrow AM. I’ve got to find some cups.

Usually the plants are started under the New Wave® T5 HO Fluorescent Lighting. Same with clones. See link:

Once I put the trees into large pots they are tossed under the MH until 18" - this tine at least 24".

I've looked around and a 1000 watter should be plenty for a 5x5 room.

Then I can use the 600 watter on the bottom if required.

Of course a cool tube is the only way to go, or is it?

The only concern I have right now is cooling two lights. Keeping in mind this is going to be a mega-grow for me, I’ll probably have to get a can fan – which makes a lot of noise – and a carbon filter – pesky smell from these trees. On the other hand I could get a liquid cooled 1000 watter – but then I’ll need a heat exchanger with a water supply resulting in more electricity usage and still have smell, but at least the smell won’t be blowing all around at high velocity. But I may need a 50 gallon bucket for the circulation water.  Damned either way. LOL

What do you cats think of putting a canned fan into a box. Hooking up the duct to the fan, then filling the box with foam so the noise is dampened? Fire hazard or futile considering noise will still be shooting out the duct?

Noise is going to be a problem dang it!!!
