Bag Seed VS Bought Seed

Ok so its been a long debate ..... What is better bag seed or bought seed
well im going to test this i have 1 sour kush seed 1 god bud seed and 2 bag seed from kind bud Lets Test this :weed: This Will Be A rather long expermint so if your interested sub iv started off all seeds indoors and i will put them outdoors in june and let them flower outside ( because outdoors is more natural ) this will be done using the same nutes ( scotts flower and vegatable 10-10-10) for veg and outdoor with no nutes but ground nutes for flower ( near river so it will be ok )

At this time the seedlings have broken soil and have there first blade leaves just waiting on the sour kush to perk up or ima cut it ( scraggly as hell)

Veg - 2-5 26watt cfl 2 daylight 3 2700k

ill update next week but will be adding pics this week

good luck, and both have their advantages. with store bought you know what genetics you are getting and what to expect, and they have BOMB genetics.

with bagseed your in for a suprise. you may end up with Shwag, you may end up with Kush. the luck of the draw. some of the best genetics ive came across were from bag.

My opinion. I dont care what im growing. So i prefer bagseed. I like the surprise in the end when you go to your spot and have a variety of genetics, and interesting pheno's. and I love the feeling when you luck out and come across BOMB genetics. also its free so thats a big bonus.

Enough about that...

Goodluck, and im sub'd. Im interested to see what your bagseed produces, not so interested in bought genetics :P (just brutal honesty). Only grows i watch is bagseed :P

1 of the bought seedlings (extra) died for no reason it seems
the other 4 are fine
missing a usb cord so will get pictures when i find it ( have pictures but will just take new ones ) soon
3 seem to be sativa dominate 1 indica all are growing well i apoligize for no pics at moment and will have them soon again

Seeds from a reputable seed bank are more likely to grow into healthy, vigorous, potent plants that are not sexually confused.

yeh but bagseeds are the funnest grows. i love the suprise. just cause its from a seedbank doesnt mean it will be more potent. some of the best shit ive grown to date was from the bag. seedbanks are good if you dont biz with randomness, and you need to supply the dank. if your a personal grower, i think you will find more joy in bagseed. just my opinion...could just be me that loves bagseed :P
 
I've grown nothing but bag seed and I have never had a hermi. I think it's mostly due to how much stress the plant goes through...

But, even though I have never known what strain I grow, my results have always been pleasing. But I would have to imagine that a bought, well known strain would be better than any suprise bag seed. But I too like the surprise of what I get :)
 
Screw feminized seeds, anyways. I should originally have specified to exclude that from the definition of reputable, my mistake. Apparently though some people have never had problems with their 'feminized' seeds. Still, some companies wont even produce them.

Currently I have some Mandala strains (Hashberry, Kalichakra) and some Nirvana strains (AK-48, Superskunk). The AK-48, while the two plants were growing well, the one I allowed to become a root-bound started to show a nitrogen deficiency quite a while before either of the Mandala strains.

Whats the old saying? if u like the weed you smoke, you'll like the weed you grow :D personally i don't mind growing bagseed i have uncommon luck getting females.

Probably because unless your growing form straight up commercial shwag, most of the seeds are from an unspotted male flower on an otherwise female plant just like female seeds.
 
Update : ok so i found one of the SK seeds that i thought was a dud put the soil aside and didnt even water it and i was adding some soil for anotehr plant and it was in the soil so planted it and just waiting so it looks like we will be having 2 sour kush 1 god bud and 2 bag seed
