you can use cloth or other wicking material to draw water from the bottom of a bucket into a wire mesh(1/4")basket holding the soil in the top. for more water, just add 'feeder' buckets with hoses going to the main bucket resevoir by siphon. one main bucket, and(x) number of feeder buckets....I bet if you put a bubbler in the main bucket, you wouldn't have to change the water so often(stagnation problem) if you happen to have electricity nearby....hmmmmmm! that gets my mad scientist vibe working up! o.k.-stoner brainflash- I want to build an automatic flushing toilet/bubbler grow setup! it would provide fresh water and nutes, and automatically flush every few days to a reservoir, or to surrounding vegetation. this has probably already been done, but I could just see the look on their faces, flying over and seeing thousands of toilets with massive bushes growing out of them! it'd make a great pink floyd album cover! I need another hit!
