Welcome to the vortex. It will pull you down, down, down... But it's a great ride! You're picking some quality boards in the High Lights. Looking forward to seeing many more grows under these lights.
I said it before, and illl say it again: the vortex is the best place to be. To feel youre on to something, to dig deeper, try to understand and then to try to understand how far we can actually go in our understanding.

Wow, sounds like fortune cookie gibberish but i stand by it. Constructing you own knowledge might be the ultimate tripp or drugg...

Got a question that I pretty much know the answer to but I figured I'd gather a couple other opinions first if I could. So I'm gonna be placing an order in the next week or so but don't know if I should get all UV red boards or just a mixture. From what I understand if you're already running added UV then you go with the high red boards and then if you're not you get the UV boards? Correct? Gonna be sticking 4 of whatever I end up choosing in my 5x5 with 2 of my 4000k boards to minimize stretching for first couple weeks then switch to all 6 of either high red or UV but I wanna get the best option for my situation. Little help please...?
As usual @Rocket Soul is on the money.

The UV boards are the original spectrum and were designed as a "true" full-spectrum single-channel (one driver) LED board aimed at providing the best balance between yield and quality without the addition of supplemental lighting. We're not claiming it is the "best" spectrum, but it is well-balanced, with no gaps from 400-780nm, and we know it works. If you buy just one light, we believe the UV boards are hard to beat for alround performance

The High Red boards came about for two reasons. The first – you're going to laugh – was to use up leftover LEDs. When we buy reels of LEDs for our boards, the Nichias come in lots of 5000 and the Seoul Semiconductor Sunlike LEDs come in lots of 4500 – which is enough to make 75 boards. We then buy an extra reel of V3F1 LEDs and make another 21 boards from the leftover Nichia Optisolis. The Optisolis and Sunlike LEDs are expensive – US$0.13-14 each – so it's worth using them all up. There are 96 boards in each single run of High Lights.

We do this by design, as that's not the only reason we produce the High Red boards. The main reason is that in Australia there are many growers here using CMH lamps who already have an investment in their lighting set-up. CMH has a good amount of UVA, near-UV and blue spectrum, so there would be no point adding more. What CMH does benefit from is the addition of more red. So the High Red boards are a way for local growers to expand their grows and increase their efficiency without trashing their CMH lamps. It's also a good introduction to LED for growers who are not experienced with it and may be a little skeptical ;)

There was a third reason, and that was the addition of UVA/UVB bulbs, such as reptile bulbs. The common belief at the time was that UVA and especially UVB increased cannabinoids and terpene levels. This seemed to make sense as it is theorised that cannabinoids evolved to protect the flowers and seeds from high levels of UV around the equator, and later in the mountainous regions of central Asia. This was before our own testing testing (although there were two scientific trials that also proved this) showed that higher levels of blue and near-UV light could also promote cannabinoid and terpene expression.

We will be doing some tests soon (in the next few weeks) comparing four different samples, all grown under High Lights. The difference will be one sample has been grown under High Red boards with the addition of CMH, one sample has been grown under High Red boards wth the addition of UVA/B reptile bulbs, and two samples have been grown under High Light UV boards (one will be a fresh sample, the other will be an older sample to see how cannabinoid content changes – or not – after six months of cure). All samples were grown in coco in similar weather using drain-to-waste, so it may not strictly be scientific, but it will be as close as we can get.

Arcadia 6% UVB 30% UVA. Many reptile bulb brands appear to have similar spectra, so there's probably not a lot of difference between one 6% UVB bulb and another. A more interesting comparison might be a 6% UVB and 14% UVB bulb, but I'm not sure you would want to run a 14% UVB bulb through the whole 12-hour cycle like the tests we are seeing that use 6% UVB all the way through.

because I ran the agromax pure uvs 15 mins on once a day to get them acclimated. then u can start adding 15 mins a week I started at week 6 of flower would like to see your results. this run I did it mainly covering my gdp plant and a good portion of my c99xbb never grew the c99 before. but I have grown the gdp out a couple times and I think this has been the highest thc percentage I have gotten I would like to think I would love to have mine tested but still not a common courtesy. that's what I did I feel like the plant hardens off to the uv when it gets older. idk my opions but would love to see a grow with them nonetheless.

I've never had to deal with it myself. I've read that the biological control Serenade, which is organically certified, can get rid of it. Also potassium bicarbonate (Eco Fungicide). I think you can get both at Bunnings. You might not be doing yourself any favours having a sealed room, as airflow is usually key to managing leaf fungal diseases. White Widow is a really leafy strain and very susceptible to mould in my experience.

It came on due to me going on holidays and my dehumidifier turning off, things got pretty swampy.
My mothers got infected then past on to my clones.
I can't seem to find where i can purchase Serenade

I thought it was available at Bunnings as I see Bayer Australia makes it:

I see it on eBay, but you're right, it's doesn't seem to be freely available here. Maybe contact Bayer?

Looking healthy and happy there man! What more can you ask for :bigjoint:
thanks man, really happy with how everything is going so far. what kind of set up do you have for your boards if you don't mind sharing?

14 days since flip, all seems to be well. boards are pulling 180 watts from wall and I try to stay right at 18 inches from from tallest top.

Currently I have two high lights in my 2x4, 2 in a 3x3, In the long run im going to put all four in the 3x3.

Im on a 240 driver in the 2x4, currently its empty, The 3x3 has a 320 driver and the bottoms of two plants just ripening a bit waiting for me having time to get them cropped. Then dry in the 2x4 allowing me to get the 3x3 filled ready to flower.

Will post some pics when its ready.:bigjoint:

Just jumped in the water with you guys and ordered 4 boards. Can't wait to blast my girls with these in a few weeks. Can any USA guys give me an idea of how long they'll take to get here?
Mostly depends how long it sits at customs. Mine were shipped on the 13th, should arrive anytime.

edit: To clarify, most of that time was spent sitting at the customs warehouse.

That's so fucking dumb. Oh well, I still got some filling out to do before I flip anyways. Gonna fill up my 5x5 as much as I can first till I got a thick 20" spread everywhere.

Probably another 3 weeks maybe sooner since they're growing pretty damn fast at this point, so hope I have em by then...

Yours may be much faster, I've seen it clear in less than a day before. Luck of the draw, or whoever is working that day, haha.
