the buds are big and hairy. i know what you mean about xmas. so far so good here. a mate of mine has half a dozen plants ready for harvest in two weeks. so this xmas should be ok.

Take some clones then flower the plant... No reason to do one and not the other.

No just take some cuttings. They'll tale a little longer to root, and will spend the first couple of weeks changing back to veg mode, but they'll be fine.

Hey guys nice site growin outdoors cant get indoors right lol. Try n post some pics soon. This is awesome to get info from ppl in Oz luvin it. Thinkin of a guerilla see how i go got 1 in the yard n about 7 seeds sprouted. I tried cloning with honey into jiffy pellets 2 died 3 look like theyll make it. all the seeds ive planted in the jiffy pots crank you need a humidy crib though i leave my crib outside in a leafy spot. look forward to sharing info n stories.

On a new note, i was thinking of making hash with my Male plant. I was gonna use the ISO hash method ( http://forums.cannabisculture.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1124652 ) But use metho instead, any idea if this will work? the metho i'm using is 95% ethanol so im not sure what the other %5 is....

i think ive tried to explain this to you before but ill have another go. its no so much the fact of what you use rather than the state it is in when you use it.
i.e. you use presurised butane because it is a forced liquid and its extremely cold but it then evaporates back to a gas as it heats up. it works because as you imerse the weed in it the plant cells instantly freeze and burst as they expand. (ever tried to use a lettuce that got to cold?) this releases everything inside the plant, including all the good oils. these then mix with the butane, you filter the waste plant matter out and then leave the remainder of the butane to evaporate off and all your left with is the oil. metho is a stable liquid at room temp meaning its gonna have very little effect on the cell structure of the weed and also have a much slower evap rate. you wouldnt put diesel in a petrol car for no other reason than to try something different so.......

ok so i just read that link you posted and its a slightly different method again but still has the same flaws. like i said butane is just so much better i wouldnt waste my time using something else but if you must id reccomend putting the weed you plan on using in the freezer over night. id also then use some sort of masher to pound and stir the mixture before you filter it off. as a comparison the liquid alcohol (isopropyl, methanol, ethanol) will take overnight to evaporate, the butane maybe an hour and will generally leave far less chemical residue. (another big problem using a blend like metho)

sounds like yours will do fine..... I usually just dip mine in and I have a fairly high success rate,,,except when I am trying to make too many...like 80 then things can get out of hand

i tried this too, J doesn't listen to others advice lol it's ok, will just take him longer to learn what he's gotta learn

Alright my bad, hear me out.

I have a MALE that i want to make Hash out of. Males dont have Trich's right? Thats why i wanted to use The iso hash method because i don't think freezing will help. SO, i was't asking FOR a method to make hash, i was asking if metho would work for that particular method of making hash.
And you say Cat, not to use metho because it will leave a whole bunch of crap behind.

What i've heard is, that Alcohol extracts the THC from Marijuana thats how things like Green dragon and tinctures work. So if i use the method above then i will be extracting the THC letting everything else evaporate, but what i really want to know is if the other 5% in metho evaporate or bind with the TCH or kill me?

I hope i am doing everything right i feel bad for wasting all of your time but what i'm really trying to get at is...
What is the other 5% of the metho (assuming the other 95% is ethanol)?
Will it kill me?
Does it evaporate?
Is it safe to make this style of hash with?
