anyone got any good tips to get humidity down. im just going to buy a few of those damp rid hippo things and stick them in there do u think that will help?
also while we are on the topic of grow rooms i bought a new phat filter today 250mm fuckin dear but i cant smell anything now its great. the buddha is one stinky bitch and shes been stinking out my whole 2 storey house and when i walked up the side fence it reeked so with the mother in law coming to stay at my place over christmas i thought it was about time i got a filter now i reckon everyone should have one no question

Fuck. I go away for 2 seconds and you kents fill 2 pages. Awesome FIWH, have you tried her yet? I found it pretty much tasted like kush with a slight greasy/vanilla aftertaste but she was definately a sit down smoke for most. If you haven't smoned/flowered her yet I hope you have a nice one, you will be blown away by that smell, just don't expext that to translate into taste too much. I wouldn't say she's fishing or kayaking weed and both? Nono.

yeh i purchased a canfan combo last year its working a treat too man no smell when theyres no humidity im trying kitty litter atm dont think its doing much ive heard charcoal in a can works pierce holes on top but room smells a little burnt but no harm to plants havent tryed those hippo's yet its on the cards tho i know they work in houses good!

Forget... If your sucking air out through a filter (they fuckin rock, one day my power went out and an hour later I could smell my weed a block away) that should start to make a difference. Also cover any moisture you can't remove, remove any moisture you can i.e. if hyj put your res outside, its easy to plumb up. Also with the negative pressure inside from all the air sucking out, it doesnt hurt to add a smaller duct fan outside that blows via flexi duct/s from across the room/outside into the tent/room and blast those shits with circulation fans. Midsummer in QLD I haven't ever humidity probs.

yeah we use hippos around our home but i have never actually monitored the air to see if they do anything
and yeah myagi i have not flowered one yet she's my first vk. she looks good though frosty leaves and all. i have high hopes but same as usual im growing the buddha for me and the vk is for the friends lol

yeah myagi i have mass airflow. its just i grow under my house and its a dirt floor. we have been having tons of rain and just all round humid days so bulk humidity.

well thats just how it is i guess. next grow im looking at building a solid cabinet that i can lock and will be a much more closed environment. maybe even look at getting into some co2 further down the track aswell

I've found that with beer, I am never satisfied with one brand ever...I always need to be stimulated with a different flavour, aroma etc. Is this the same with weed? Will I always be buying seeds and trying out different genetics? Or can I just order a few $100 worth of seeds and sit back, keep clones of em all and have a steady supply until the end of my days?
I can forsee continuously buying different seeds year after year as an increase to possible detection by poo bums (read: po reese - how chinese say police)...
I'm gonna hold my breath until legalisation starts...

It's purely terpene production manipulation imo.
The hop industry does the same thing (and remember hops and marijuana are like cousins). Myrcene is a terpene found in both hops and marijuana...used heavily in the perfume industry. There are hops that have flavours ranging from peach, plum, passionfruit and other tropical fruits. Doesn't surprise me that the same thing would be happening in marijuana as in hops...but to my surprise it is actually happening on a grander scale in marijuana than in hops. Victoria (a hop that is not in commercial production) is a hop that is fucking unreal...yet you will never get to try a beer (unless you try some of mine) with that smell and aroma because it might not sell as well...commercial viability is a bitch.
On a side note...myrcene and other terpenes react with thc in a way, which has been coined the 'entourage effect'...you can eat a mango an hour before you smoke to theoretically increase your high...a reason why one should crush up their weed in their fingers and smell the herb before they smoke it...further reading - hey I get a kick out of this shit.
Imagine making a hash like substance with bubble bags from hops, thyme, mint, rosemary or other herbs with 'entourage effect' terpenes and manipulating the high of the bubble hash that you have...same bubble hash but mixed with different herbal extracts manipulating the product....interesting.

sup miyagi, i used the purple clonex gel i wanted to give it a test and for me it didn't do so well you could see the plants slowly dying after hours is it possible i used to much? otherwise i'm not sure i'll give it another go soon though just to make sure. the clones that survived i used 2 diff types of powder that I've used in the past and have never had problems with. time to get high
