Aussie Growers Thread

I dropped out of high school in 2003. Couldn't be bothered listening to teachers dribble on the same old boring shit another year. I didn't get my first job until a couple years later. Not that I wasn't trying to get one though.

My first real job was in the meatworks. I hated being cold all the time. Then I moved half way across the southern bite. And ended up putting 7 years into the foundries around the area. Dirty, sweaty. Hard ass job. But, I loved it.

Now. I'm an unemployed "lowlife" dole bludger. I'm still looking for work. But, I won't take just any old job these days. Don't want to be busting my ass for a loaf of bread.

you know i think i bought my first light to grow indoors in about 96. it was a little 400w magnetic ballast. i just gave it to a mate the other day to help get him started. still works just like new. its seen some grows. i bet you i couldnt buy a ballast now that would last me 20+ years
Yeah it does :hump::weed: and no you probably couldn't. That said, I see LED's in my future.

ive been sussing out 300wt and 600wt cobs today...the urge is strong I reckon I could nail some gd weed in a 400wtt cob in a 2x4 space
either that or is start popping 5 seeds a time under my T5 in search of a decent male
build your own cob LED to suit your space, pretty sure if you had a 2 foot x 4 footspace a 300wt cob would have you covered easily.

you planning on doing some crosses ruby?

Speaking from personal experience. Building a cob only seems daunting. Once you've tried it. You probably won't want to get any pre built systems after that.

I've yet to see just how much herbage I can obtain from my 3x2 space, under those 200w Vero29's. But for a test. The 4 oz (dry) I did get. I'm impressed.
