+ rep for answering the question on irrigation. only 1 more question tho.. i know you are using 20-60 ltr resevoirs but how far must your timer be before it creates enough pressure to open the valve in the timer. Or is the 60 ltrs enough pressure in itself without having to hook the timer up downhill from the rez? If it's the latter option how low will your rez get before it doesnt create enough pressure to open the valve. thanks. looks great by the way!

The timer is actually really nice and simple, I was surprised beyond my expectations. The pressure could be minimal as fuck, literally the valve opens up and water starts flowing solely from gravity itself (ie: pressure doesn't have any effect on the valve, even if you connected a 600ml water bottle to this timer, every last drop would flow). Though, a few ltrs pressure on top doesn't hurt. The timer is connected directly to the reservoirs so there is no descending flow beforehand... With only a few ltrs in the tank it will pump through a few metres of pipe fine.

This is the exact timer I'm using: http://www.popeproducts.com.au/__files/f/10322/GM%202%20Dial%20Automatic%20Tap%20Timer%20%281017646%29%20-%20User%20Guide.pdf

Next up: I have a few seedlings just about to veg (4 Trainwrecks, 2 NL5 x Haze Mist) and a female Master Kush that reverted to vegging (might use as a mother for clones)... I've got to cart about 250 ltrs of soil up to a new site, deeper into the bush and dig 4 holes for the next plot. The forecast has a max of 36c (96f) on the weekend too (it's going to be hellish)... Might order another round of seeds, checkout what Seed Boutique has on offer (any suggestions?). Still a long season ahead.

Thanks brother. Reading through the pdf it seems like just the timer i'm looking for. Performance specs for water pressure range from 0 to 1000kPa. This is great since most timers i've looked at need at least a few pounds of pressure to work but this makes that totally null. Awesome. Thanks again, i'll be sure to chack back.

Plot 1

This is going from strength to strength, responded well to some fertilizer & developing all round, the stems are becoming thick/solid, all new growth is looking very healthy. A lot of the old lower leaves are yellowing out which I guess can be expected, I assume keeping up with more nutrients from here on will keep things rolling... I've got some pest issues, nothing too bad, but something is having a munch so I'll have to deal with it next visit.

The Purple Power(s) are straight out flowering despite the relatively long & hot days. Not much of a yield, but at least I'll get something to smoke (hopefully)... Is there any chance these could re-veg after harvest?

The White Widow is just starting to show a pre-flower or two, looks promising... The Master Kush could possibly be a male, we'll see how it goes in the coming weeks (I have a female to take it's place if needed).

So, this one has been going quite poorly so far, but it looks like the White Widow & Lemon Skunk are just starting to catch on... I'm not holding my breath on this one, but if it works to any extent I'll surely be happy.

Critical +; Never had much hope for this (bonus seed), I'll leave it & at worst throw something else in the dirt.
Critical Plus P2.jpg

And, here's a flush of Tasmanian Cubensis (about 2 1/2 oz worth)
Tasmanian.jpg

I've chosen the next location, the soil has a shitload of bulky rocks which is making things a pain in the arse (digging hole). May have to use some type of at least slightly raised soil bed. I'll hold off and put the next batch in about 2 weeks time.

Here's what I've been playing around with at home:
NL x Haze Mist & Trainwreck
NLFive & TRAINWRECK.jpg

2 random Trainwrecks, happened to get fucked up in the heat a few days ago... I've had plants in worse condition come back so I'll leave them for now and see how they go (never had real plans for these but the bigger one was definitely taking off).
TRAINWRECK.jpg

And my female Master Kush... Over watering, unsuccessful cloning, pH lockout, a few sessions of nute burn and three rounds of heat stress, it's still going. It's about 3-4 months old... Started to flower but reverted with the change of season.

Nice outdoor grow, Ya that sucks on the flowering so early but it is 14 -15 hrs light and they will keep growing. ?Is there land race strains in AU(like ditch weed) just curious cause I grew three plants outdoor and 1 had gotten pollinated and that sucked.

Also theirs a good read on RIU for re-vegging (with pics) but I can't remember where it is. I will have a looksy.

O Ya That is the biggest shroom I have ever seen. I have grown a batch before and that stomps it.

Nice plants mate, I'll keep my eye on this one. Hope the weather is kind to your plants.
Where to you get your spores for the mushrooms?

It's strange, but pollination might be a problem in the area. Not that there's anything native, but I've heard of a few local outdoor growers having seedy buds without any male plant in sight. The shit I'm smoking at the moment is seedy as fuck, but still 'good'... I can only hope for sinsemilla.

The Purple Powers have been flowering for 2 weeks, another 6 weeks to go. By that time it'll be mid-summer, so if revegging works there'll still be plenty of time for growth. Will do a bit more research.

I've got spores from a few places, outside of the US I'd go with: http://www.mrcashop.org/ ... I haven't bought anything in almost a year though, I wouldn't mind something other than Cubensis (maybe Panaeolus again, though last time was a hellish trip)... On the shroom side of things, all my isolates are coming through. I've got 10 different Ecuador isolates (genetics) to test out to see what will be the most prolific fruiting, about 4 Cambodian isolates (including the cleanest and extremely rhizomorphic mycelium). A few more weeks and things should look interesting.

The last plot is in place! This has definitely been the biggest pain in the arse out of all of them. It's taken three days of consecutive work; the main issues being that the ground is ladden with rocks. I could hardly dig a single hole deeper than a foot before coming across some 1/2 sqr-metre slab. A lot of compromising, but anyway, here's the setup (bottom 2 = Trainwreck, top = NL5 x Haze Mist).

Plot Three.jpg
It's the deepest plot, I can't put a perspective on it but it's a fucking trek. It's the most open plot too, receiving direct sun from at least 10am-5pm. I must have tried digging 10 holes before settling on this spot. It's hard to gauge what's happening underground in the photos, the issue of not being able to get a lot of depth has been compromised to allow more horizontal root growth. The plants may be a little close together but there's about 400L of relatively rich soil underneath setup as a 'bed'.

Plot Three Res.jpg
The irrigation on this one is perfect, I don't know if it's different drippers or breaking it down to 2 main lines, but they have a lot more flow to them.

Plot 1
Sorry about the shitty photos, these plants were drooping a bit I assume from lack of water (fucked around with the timer, the reservoir hadn't used as much as usual during the week), the day after they were looking happier... My first real issue is; the lower leaves on the 2 bigger plants are yellowing out. New growth is healthy but the base of the plant is being overshadowed. Lack of nitrogen, or straight lack of light?

These are catching on, doubling in size... Just been watered (hence the 'bend'). Considering where the other plants have come in the last month, these might actually have some hope.

well done mate, I can imagine that it would have been quite a task. I see that you've got the fencing up to keep the Roo's out.
If possible can we get a pic of how the timer is hooked up to the bin/reservoir?
How are you providing nutrients? slow release pellets? or do you use organic manure etc?

Cheers, this deserves a Rep, you got it.

I don't have any decent photos, but here's a quick video to give an idea of the flow (with only a gallon of water in the reservoir).

For nutrients I'm using liquid Manure/Blood & Bone/Seaweed/Fish Emulsion mix (covers basically the whole spectrum). Will make some worm casting/manure tea hopefully for next week, really need to get some more nitrogen in there though (don't want to risk burning though).

Lemon Skunk: My first real casualty... Thursday, and today (Monday). Looks like heat stress, it's strange, no other plants have had any serious problems but I'll see if it recovers... It has been in the high 30's(C) all week.

Hey bro looking good! I'm from across the ditch in NZ check out my greenhouse grow if you got time, those WW and Master Kush should be monsters! What do you expect to yield from each of those plants? Hopefully I can move out of my glasshouse and do a guerilla next season. Keep it up!

Check out my youtube channel if you want to follow my progress > http://www.youtube.com/user/watchm3spec?feature=mhum

Thanks for the comments guys & sorry about the lack of updates. Really busy at the moment and these plants are just going through the motions... A lot of these have shown pre-flowers and a few budsites so they'll start flowering soon.

On that note, I have no experience at flowering these (especially at this size) so any help would be appreciated (especially from Australians as our nute options are almost limited to 'Bunnings')

Plot 1:
Down to 2 plants... Harvested the Purple Power early, it was far from done but still 'good' heh. That old Lemon Skunk died in the heat (and found a few white ants around the roots). The White Widow and Master Kush are just over 5 feet high (topped at the 2nd node). So I have the full reservoir dedicated to these 2, with the vastness of the root system it's becoming hard to hit it all with water from drippers so I've got hoses on each side of the stems to drop water for a few minutes every 2 days.

Master Kush

Plot 2:
It's strange, these ones always lagged behind but over the last few weeks they have been starting to take off. The Master Kush is to replace the old plant, it's small but quite bushy. The Lemon Skunk and White Widow are fine, healthy & maybe around 1m high (topped at the 2nd node).

Plot 3:
It's hard to get a perspective on these, they look pretty small but are at least around 3 feet high and quite healthy. 2 x Trainwreck, 1 x NL5 x Haze Mist and a small Lemon Skunk out of view. These have grown almost to the size of the plants in plot 2 but in about 1/3 the time... If these were earlier in the season they could have been potential monsters. Anyway, I'm glad these pulled through the heat to where they are.

Mean bro +rep.. Plot 1 is looking awesome! Did you weigh what you got off the PP.. do you know why it flowered early?

The plants are still coming along, a few issues with the camera but everything's starting to flower, Plot 2 is lagging behind but they're starting to stretch. By Easter I'm hoping it's all done.

It's hot as fuck here, days are reaching into the mid-30's a lot of the time, water is becoming an issue so I'll be making mid-week trips to deal with it. I'll get some more photos up when the camera-situation is fixed and try to document the flowering better than I have in the last few weeks.

Harvested the last Purple Power, I guess maybe an ounce on this one, around 2 on the other (I guess it's just strange genetics which set them off). Trippy high compared to the usual stuff I've expereinced from Perth, nice organic feel too. The Trainwrecks are looking nice, Plot 1 (White Widow & Master Kush) are almost 5 1/2 feet high (topped at the 2nd node, each almost looks like 2 modest size plants now the way the 2 colas branch from the bottom. The White Widow is swelling up with hairs). Plot 2 is holding up nicely (with a bit more shade).

Hit them all with a light dose of PK 13-14, feeding them Headmasta throughout the flowering... 1 issue I'm coming across is, the 2 largest plants still aren't getting enough water. They get about 10ltrs each when I visit them, and a 60ltr reservoir split between them during the week. A lot of the lower leaves are yellowing out continuously, hopefully it won't be an issue but they do look slightly wiltered each time I'm down there.
