Attempted LST/Internaly broke few branches

Hey guys,

My plants were growing out of control so i joined RIU and found a solution.

LSTing was discovered

When i tried to tie down the plants (dumb as i am) i was manipulating cheap paperclips

Two of the branches broke internally (paperclip > weed plant in case you may be unaware as i was) and flopped sideways

I'm 2-3 weeks into flowering, bud's are pretty visible

I've since supported/tied the branches

My question is: what kind of impact will this have? Less potent/less bud?

you can wrap a small piece of papertowel around the break then put tape around that. the plant/branch should recover. only negative side effect would be stress to the plant.... but since your still pretty early in flowering, she'll recover. once wound has healed, you've really just suppercropped that branch, so it could turn out beneficial..... good luck

probably a bit less bud, depends on how you fixed them, branches i had bent in my recent grow pretty much recovered with a bit of string for support

Would just leave them flopped over they should continue to grow. Sorry about advising you to lst your plants, i didnt realise they were well into flowering. You are best to get all your lst ing done whilst still in veg, when the stems are still supple. I must not have read your original thread properly. Once again, i do apologise.

Nah no problem man. I may have forgot to mention or i may have not even considered it as being a potential problem.

I'm going to try the paper towel / tape trick... anyone else recommend this?

ALso how long does flowering tend to take? i've read 6-8 weeks because i'm thinking about putting the clones (been in veg 24/hr cycles close to 6-10 inches tall now) into the flower room but am wondering if i should make some more clones before i do, get some sea of green thing going

8 weeks is probably the minimum, unless you've got a pretty fast finishing strain
