At war with spidermite

I noticed i had a couple of small egg sites under my leafs so tried to combat it with something advised by my local shop which 'Plant Vitality Plus - Ready to use spray' i believe its holding them back from kicking my ass but my it doesn't seem to kill them all off in time for my flowers to start so thats now not an option, So my next battle plan was setting off a smoke bomb every 3 days for 2 weeks with the understanding the eggs get laid and hatch on a 3 day basis and then as my A bomb to finish those horrible little f**kers off was introduce ladybirds into my 1m square room.

My problem is how many would i need if id need any?
Is there a fault with my plan?
How do i get rid of the ladybirds before they decide take over? [h=1]

cinnamon oil, tanglefoot, SNS.. you have a few options - cinnamon oil will both suffocate them, and pretty much dissolve them too.. tanglefoot will help control spread unless you have webs between plants.. and the SNS is all natural killer for them too.

With the cinnamon oil would i mix it with water and make into a spray or do i actually apply the oil straight from the bottle to my plant?

Thanks for the advice

Hang a no pest strip if not your bedroom. Leave for say 6 days.. Exhaust off at lights out.

Iused to get pretty decent results with 70% neem oil, but he last time I had the problem I treated with a product called End All (Safer Products) Its made for organic gardening found at the hydro store and had really good luck with it. ope this helps.

end the war for good. check out a product called quantum apocalypse. every grower i know that had a spider mite problem is bug free since they started using the stuff.

  • try diatomaceous earth. its a fine powder. use food grade DE. take the powder and put it in a plastic bottle with a cap. drill some small holes in the top about the same size as a salt shaker or smaller. give it a squeeze to force the air and powder out as a little cloud on the leaves and dirt. make sure its kept dry. this will kill any existing mites in the area. DE is like micro shards of glass totally harmless to humans. if bugs crawl through it they get cut up and dry out and die. in about a day. Trust me it works better than anything I've tried which is about everything. kelp4less.com is a good place to buy online. Google it do some homework give it a try. anyone with a bug problem try this and let us know how it works.
