read my above post ^ okay so this morning i looked at the jars and they were at 74% and 72% and felt like they got some moisture back... so i took them out of the jars and hung them back up.. i am hoping to be able to dry for at least another 2 days

I'm not sure I'd take them out of the jars bro, just burp them for about 30 minutes or until the humidity goes back down, then put the lid back on and repeat till the humidity stops going up in the jar.

No need to hang them back up, just periodically burp the jars. You might want to even pour the buds out on a table or something for twenty minutes or so, depending on the moisture.

ive never dried more than three or four days before jarring, but we have low humidity

well being that i only dried 3 days, will my cure be fine?. i mean will it still be good weed?.. also at what point should i burp the jars?... both are at 72% right now.. and how long should i burp?
how does your weed turn out with only 3-4 days dry time?

EDIT: also the stems were still mostly bendy

tbh you are over thinking it....
if its crispy on the outside and bendy on the inside = you're good to start curing
if its crispy on the outside and breaks on the inside... youve gone to far.
if its damp on the outside and wet on the inside, you havent gone far enough

once its in the bag/jar w/e and sweats for a couple days, just pop it open for 5min at a time, check semi regulary for the first week... once twice a day... after that you can pretty much seal it up until you are ready to use it.

my only thing is that i only am getting a 3 day dry, and i dont want that to mess with the quality of the bud..... i kepp readying a fast dry isnt good

really dependent on bud size
small buds 3 days ish is normal.
medium buds 3-5 days
large buds 5-10 days

Chill. Just start curing, if it only takes three days to dry, then thats ok.

Burp them frequently until they stabilize at or below 65% rh, then once per day to every few days (my preference).

yeah you want to maybe bag them until they'll stabilize at about 65-70% rh in the jars. then burp them down to about 55-60% rh. that's what people say at least. imo you gotta try it out and maybe screw up a time or two before you get the hang of it unless you have really nice conditions

That's strain dependent but if the temps are above 70 degrees the "smell" may vaporize (along with the taste, according to Rosenthal), which is why I am waiting a few days to chop some and drying outside in a barn. I'm trying to keep the temps below 70 to retain the fragrance and smoothness.

Once the flowers in the jar have a rh of 55% they no longer need burping and can be stored for a cure...till then open jars slowly and let the rh go down slowly, but not too slow if that makes sense.

Sounds like you are gonna have some tasty meds homie!

like every few hours? or once a day? 20 minutes? i dont wanna do it to slow to where they mold

okay so ive already read the "perfect cure everytime" thread but i have a couple questions...

when it says the curing zone is 60%-65%.... does that mean i just keep burping until its at that RH range and then just leave them in the jars? or keep burping even after it reach's the 60%-65% range?

because as of now the three jars are at 74%, 72%, 76%.... so i opened the jars to lower the humidity...
also, how long should i be keeping the jars open?

thanks
