Are You Truly Happy?

Have you ever asked yourself who you really are? How did you become the person you are today? Was it all just encoded in you genetically? Are you predestined to be a certain type of person? Or do you have the ability to choose? The biggest freedom any individual could ever have is their freedom of choice. You are the way you are because of the environment that you grew up in and were raised in. you are the way you are because of all the experiences you have ever been through in your entire life, and how you choose to react to each and every one of those experiences. You have the ability to change who you are whenever you want. There are no restrictions when it comes to making decisions about yourself, about who you are or about who you really want to be. I personally find things all the time about myself that I try to change, not that I don’t like myself don’t get me wrong. I love myself and consider myself to be a good natured person. But that there are aspects about myself that I find I dislike sometimes. It’s hard to see those things; it’s probably the hardest thing in the world to admit to yourself there are things about you that you don’t like, or that you need to change. Sometimes it takes other persons influence to help you recognize different aspects about yourself you never knew existed. Once you gain the ability to critique yourself, to analyze yourself… not your life. That is when you can become one with who you are and who you truly want to be. And that my friends, is where true happiness comes from. But that’s all just my personal opinion.

i did a project in philosophy just recently about the utilitarian: John Stuart Mill (famous philosopher from the 1900's) this is what i read to everyone in class at the end of my presentation.

typical college bullshit, answer a question with a question. Sad state when they are teaching this crap in college.

Are your plants still root bound?

LOL

this is not teaching, this is what ive figured about about happiness through my own experience. happiness is different for each individual. some people are happy being a good person, teaching good morality and values. some people are happy because of materialistic items. some people are happy when they hurt others. some people are happy when they eat food, smoke pot, or whatever else you can think of. this is about inner happiness, happiness that comes from continuously trying to become a better part of yourself each and every day. true inner personal happiness is completely different than outer worldy happiness.

and an answer to your immature question mr jesus of cannibis, heres the girl from the start of my thread. 3 weeks flowering. maybe you should take my advice about rootbound plants, but this is off the subject.

does anyone out there have some actual useful input? or have actually put any thought into this subject?

Your Philosophy? That sound's dangerously messianic. Philosophy is a scientific method of inquiring about the world and posing arguments to either prove or disprove a statement. It is certainly not ever something you can own.

The above statement sounds more like your introspection, virtue and ethics.

The usefulness (as with all post in forums frequented by pot heads) of a given post, as always, is left to the reader.
A shitload of potheads.....

no i have not taken any time to see philosophy from your point of view...i have given the question a good deal of thought though...uneducated at that
even if i did take your POV, we would be left with nothing to discuss, as we would already agree.
I'm sorry you feel my initial input on the query is thoughtless as well. I disagree, naturally.

plants are looking nice too.
...i'll just let myself out...*make hasty escape*

nonsense...it can easily be used as a meat preservative, a color fixative, flavoring agent, and to prevent botulism.
...and a wonderful pesticide besides...you'll be wanting to know how to make it for sure.

unless you meant that it was secreted in the food/drink of the enlisted members of military/boarding school/collage/any large group of (traditionally) males...then no....not a shred of evidence to be had

Yes, they told us our peckers wouldn't work right while going through basic due to this "Salt Peter" being put in our food.

no they don't work right cause you're totally exhausted, anxious, harassed, and out of your element.
no surprise really when the ol johnson refuses to stand tall, in an environment brimming with 'man in all his glory' no less (how embarrassing even in private), recruits cling to the silly notion the military had something to do with it.
They have better things to do...like drive you like a tent peg into the ground...

i have no explanation for the greenish eggs in the mess....sorry

yes, socrates had the multiple chances to avoid the "death penalty" but he chose to die for his cause. we would not remember him or his teachings today if he hadn't ended it the way he did. as goes with all philosophers there are things i take, and things i leave.

criticism should always try to be constructive, not merely negative
