Ok so this is my first time grow and this is Day 7 of growing my bubblegum strain. They are under 200W of CFL so tell me if they are developing well or under developing :)

they look healthy but small for a week old. is that a week old from being in the dirt or 1 week from sprouting out of the dirt? the picture in my avatar was 6 days after sprouting out of the dirt

oh and just noticed your using a straw to splint them up put the light closer so they dont stretch. mine are only about 2 inches tall and over 4 inches wide with 3 nodes already

Thats 7 days from sprouting I think. What lights are you using? My CFL's only recently arrived and are now under 200W of it. But i think for 5 days they were under like 60W of incandescent :/ Im hoping it improves.

P.S (After just 1 day of being under CFL's it has its 2nd node growing well so im hoping it will work)

i had 8 26w 6500k but since they have a few sets of leaves now i added in 4 26w 2700k so their under a total of 12 26w bulbs 4x2700k 8x6500k. can look at the journel in sig to see pictures as they grew day by day

oh i just read the end about the 60w bulb that was the problem then theyll kick in good now that you have the right light

1 more edit lol when you transplant just bury as much of the stem as you can

it looks fine. but 200W for this stage is an overkill for 2 sprouts. they will do just as fine with a 32w CFL.
200W gives off more heat and so dries the surface of the dirt quicker, and then you will water more without any REAL need to.

I like to use as much as the plant requiers, not much more.

you can't get the light close to the plants anyway, so its pretty much a waste of energy, compared to even a 16W an inch or two from the plants. same lumens get to the plants with far less heat and energy wasted.

he is right on 200 watts being overkill but im gonna guess you have either 100 or 200 watt single bulb and have no option?you could save some wasted power with a couple small daylight bulbs if you have them untill their big enough to need the 200
