Are my seeds okay

Alright bear with me this is my first time growing (clearly)

Last night I put my seed into a cup of water for about 6 hours, it sank after the first 2.

Im not sure really what to look for if it cracked or not, when I took it out the dimpled side like opened up so there was a tiny hole

I then put it into a ph'd soaked rockwool cube and called it a night and went to bed, this morning the rockwool cube was a little dry so curiousity got the best of me and I opened up the rockwool cube a bit to see if there was any progress (still looks the same from when I took it out of the glass of water)

so I pinched it back closed, gave it some water and left it alone again. Should it still be alright even though I messed with it a bit.. I think im being just a little to impatient

First grows are intimidating especially when you only have 3 seeds

I ended up putting the other 2 directly into rockwool today and putting in a plastic bag.

Any tips on how wet i should keep it?

theres no exact scientific way to gauge this. u just kind of squeeze the majority of the water out it, leeve it kinda dampish. that probably isn't helpful.

I went and got a dome with a heating mat. Hopefully thatll help a bit. should I add water to the bottom tray of the dome

Usually I soak them for 24 hours, give em a poke to see if they fall down, then take em out and into a paper towel inside a ziplock bag till they crack.

When they're in rockwool I usually put them on a plate with the edges rounded up a bit and then I put a bit of water on the plate so the rockwool absorbs as needed

I fried 2 of them in a stupid dome with a heating mat, however I did get 1 to germinate, by soaking it for 6 hours and planting it into rockwool. I can see the root. Hopefully it sprouts.

next time, drop them in a cup of water, put them in the dark, and leave them alone for 2 to 4 days. the root will pop out, if the seed is viable, and you plant it. very simple.

keep them warm 70 78 degrees you did good only soaking for six hours. leave them alone keep them moist.
Yes! Leave them alone!! It's still tough for me to stick to that but it's important. Germinating seeds and seedlings are extremely delicate. Repeated peeping or movement is not good.

In some nurseries they don't even allow their workers to pick up seedlings.

For your next lot try not to overcomplicate things. When unsure how to do something -- youtube is your friend. Seeds generally need 3 things - moisture, warmth and common sense from the person trying to germinate them.

It's not like I didnt look it up first, everyone says something diffrent
Really! It's damn confusing I know. MadMad's advice is the best. Starting seeds isn't difficult or complicated. Settle on one of the simplest, popular methods and stick with that.

Yeah I checked the rockwool and saw one germinated hopefully she sprouts :)

Honestly it's more or less just what you said, you gotta leave them alone but its damn tempting to take a peak >.<

try this bro, almost guarantee success! Fill your tray up with 5.5 ph water, soak your rockwool cubes, and place a seed inside each and place in tray. Leave it in the dark until they sprout. Should be anywhere from 5-10 days , try not to disturb too often. Let me know how that works for ya

I just got 9 of ten to pop.

Put em in a paper towel, lighly damp them. Do not compress the towel, put it in a zip lock and a dark place. Bagseeds take like two or 3 days. some seeds purchased online take longer to germ.

You got impatient for sure. Live and learn tho. U will.

000_0113.JPG 1st start with good seeds! Like mine I made from my breeding trials. I have never seen such wonderful seeds not even from the famous breeders.
