Are any of these ready to go?

1st time grower. Never even seen marijuana plants that were not already chopped up, dried, and cured in a bag. So I am not sure if any of these are ready.

I know that everyone here says the biggest mistake people make is to harvest early, so I am being patient. No rush even, I just wanna make sure they are done. I also read that "too long" is better than "too soon".

If I look at the pistils, it seems most are brown/orange already. So that is a sign that they are done.

If I look at the leaves, they are just now starting to die, but most still look healthy, so I am not sure if that means anything. I read somewhere that a sign of readiness is to look for is dead or yellowing leaves. Mine have just had some curled tips, pretty much throughout the duration of 12/12.

If I look at my trichomes, I really don't know what to make of them. I only have a little hand held magnifying glass, but I really don't know what to look for regardless. What do you think?

Another sign that they might be done, is that most of the pistils have recessed back towards the buds. But I am not sure just how far I should let them go or how much is enough.

They are on their 54th day. And I have a mixture of strains.

Afghan Kush - which they say take 6-8 weeks, so these should be done, right?

NL #9 - which they say take 55 days, so I am right there (btw these are beautiful)

LA Woman - these take 9-10 weeks and I didn't even bother taking any pics, since I can tell they aren't even close (she's a beautiful strain as well)

Super Skunk - these take 45-50 days, so they, like the AK, are a few days beyond what was recommended.

In any case, I don't want to chop too early, but I can't let em go on forever either. Honestly, I am disappointed in ALL of them as far as the last couple weeks are concerned. Everyone says that the last couple weeks is when they pack on the most bud, but I haven't noticed ANY gains at all during the last 2 weeks. It's like they all stopped growing 6 weeks in. I am at a high elevation and I do not have any supplemental CO2 (other than yeast and sugar), so maybe that is why they are somewhat stunted?

And no, I did not flush. Nor do I plan to this time, since I was testing out multiple strains (in 1 big DWC res) and since I am leaning towards taking the advice of those who think flushing is pointless.

OK so take a look at the pics and let me know what you think.

i would say 1 more week...its hard to tell the trichome color with the hps light on becasue it makes everything a orangeish tint..if you turn those off and turn on a regular cfl light its easier to see the trichome color..but in my opinion if you wait one more week you will be good for sure!

Ok my rule of thumb for my own harvesting is you add 5-7 days to the flowering period reccomended because of the plants time to react to the change of 12 /12. ( and if there were no set backs at all)As for the buds not getting to much bigger couldn't tell you, if you didnt change anything hard to say. They look GREAT good job i will give you rep for those. What nutes did you use and why does that guy say not to flush? And if you didnt flush and your getting yellowing leaves with nutes you should have increased your nitro a bit i think don,t quote me never had that problem. I usually flush with just water for the last week to 10 days and i put molasses in there once at least. TRy it one tablespoon to a gallon of water it will give your plants carbs it needs for those buds

OK sweet. I will go in there just when the lights go off and take a couple of pics. See if that helps.

Sounds good. On the AK though it is a big range (6-8 weeks) and they are in their 8th week. So they must be close at least.

They looked amazing 5-6 weeks in, but have gained very little since. Nothing has changed really, so I don't know what it is.

What nutes did you use and why does that guy say not to flush?
All of the General Hydro products. To include all of the extras.

I think the flushers and non flushers on this site are about split down the middle. I just tend to agree with the logic presented by the non flushers for the following reason(s).... What good is flushing if the plants have the nutrients stored up in the leaves anyway? and why deprive the plants of nutrients during the last 2 critical weeks? sounds reasonable to me, so i just decided not to. either way though, i have several strains in there and with some being 10 week strains, i couldnt possibly flush for these faster ones. so no real choice this time regardless

And if you didnt flush and your getting yellowing leaves with nutes you should have increased your nitro a bit i think don,t quote me never had that problem.
Leaves are just a tad bit curled up on the ends. I think I burned them a bit. My PPM was up to 1800 at one point, which is probably a bit high. I dropped it down to about 1200 now.

in soil, right? i am using a DWC setup and i think one of the GH supplements i am using provides carbs.

I definitely need to add CO2 for any future grows. the CO2 is very low here at this high elevation.

this being my 1st time, I am just happy that they made it. anxious to see how much they will yield. it looks like a lot, but i've never really seen it before like this. got about 30 plants in there altogether. medium sized and most are pretty dense and caked full of resin (top to bottom)

let me ask you.. you said that they are still cloudy and therefor not quite ready... but i thought that cloudy is what i wanted? i think i read that 80% cloudy and 20% clear was best. am I wrong? should i watch for them to go from cloudy to dark? i am a bit confused on that and not sure exactly what to look for.

also..

is the curling of the leaves on the end like that normal? i think i had my PPM too high throughout, but not sure. i mean the bud is packed on nicely and lots of resin, but the leave tips have been curled up pretty much throughout.

They look very nice... some leaf tip curl toward the end is normal... Look to the trichs for an indicator of ripeness, like another said, mostly cloudy, with sum amber colored heads is a good indicator that you can harvest within the next 72 hour window for peak ripeness !!!

sissy for best high and ripeness you want about 60%cloudy 30to 40% amber!!! clear and cloudy is more of an uppy giggly high and cloudy amber is more of the couchlook high i mean u could harvest now if u want that cerebral high the plants look amazing and for your first try they are some beauties i would pick you a few buds from some now quick dry test it and go from there if you like the high harvest if not let them go another week or so but anyway you do it you have some high grade on your hand your ak looks so much frosty than mine which company did you go through

a couple of em look about done. and great job on the plants they r lookin beautiful.

did u purchase these seeds? if so from where?

and a good rule of thumb is to wait one week once u think they r done.

but either way kudos on them my friend, it looks as if ur loupe is only a 30x mag. am i right?

if so, the only real way to see into the trichs is with a 100x loupe

your almost there hopefully you have been flushing as they were definatelty over fed a little. If you notice the hairs in the second pic are mostly whit the trichomes will change and you will be able to see it very clearly with a good cfl or camera shot. The trichs will look like mushrooms which some al;ready do before biginning to decompose, under the light you will notice they kinda twinkle. You said they haven't done a lot since growing real fast...that is to be expected they will builk up real fast and start to level off and slow dwn and mature. Great first grow so far better than mine.
