Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
Democracy is a scam and a bunch of retards think the U.S.A. is a democracy and that's part of the problem in America....The govt shouldn't work like american idol

Well now,

Seems like ol' Hosni has sent the wife and kids to good ol' england.

Rats off a sinking ship first.
From what their saying on the news it sounds like their president might have to leave but that the military will stay and their the ones really in power they had been keeping this guy in power. It sounds like the people will get a new president and maybe some more freedoms or food or money or whatever their after but in the end things will stay much the same.

^^^^^ naw, I see the tmb slipping their grubby hands on egypt. remember the goal, one islamic nation, caliphates, and sharia.

That's the end goal for the peaceful religion. An Islamic WORLD.

The point is that it's pretty bad, but the best system we have.

That's operating under the assumption that this is an Islamic revolution. That does not appear to be true at this time. Fanatics may want an Islamic world, but not every arab is a religious fanatic. These people aren't wearing burkas and turbans and talking about death to Isreal. They are wearing levis and nikes and talking about socioeconomic opportunity and equality.

Remember that an arab and a religious fanatic aren't always the same thing.

After 16 years in the middle east I do understand the difference.

I also understand that these are some very smart people we are dealing with, some even educated in our top universities.

It takes brains to oust a dictator and sway his military from slaughtering the masses

I believe the tmb is using a new tactic. Learning and adapting. Adjusting their playbook.

Using the mullahs to spread the word. You can deny that this is an islamic revolution all you want.

80,000,000 people in egypt. What's the majority religion? I don't think those are catholics, lutherans or jehovas witnesses
rioting in the streets of cairo.

And this is the first time I've seen no mass flag burning.
I'm thinking that one over real hard.

Just my .45 cents worth on the subject.

Open yer eyes pilgrims. It's way past waky waky time.

Now ask yerselves why the egyptian police have disappeared.
because the military came in to enforce what law and order they could. the people there don't seem to have as much of a problem with them as they did with the corrupt police force.

Ok, I will deny it. This does not look like an islamic revolution.

Just because they happen to be muslim does not mean they are revolting because they are muslim. Unless there is some massive world wide media conspiracy to cover this up for some bizarre reason, they are revolting due to socio-economic conditions, not because they want to bring death to America.

And this is the first time I've seen no mass flag burning.
I'm thinking that one over real hard.
No flag burning, no death to America, no death to israel, no stoning women in the streets while they are wearing American clothing in public. When people are interviewed they are all talking about jobs, the price of food, democracy, and industrial/agricultural monopolies. These people seemed more reasonable and informed than your average westerner. They do not seem like belligerent religious nuts trying to bring us back into the stone age. Would the Muslim Brotherhood love to take over Egypt? Sure. But the people of Egypt in these protests are not talking about their values and are not revolting on their behalf.

Other than the fact that there are Muslims in Egypt, what evidence do you have to support your theory that this revolution is about converting Egypt into a radical theocracy? These people seem to be moderate middle class folks who want freedom, not terrorists.

^^^^ Seriously

It's a Muslim country, yes, but it doesn't mean Islam is LEADING the revolution. It's a SOCIAL awakening, the people are tired of having a tyrannical dictator in their country, they want a new president. but that DOESN'T mean they want democracy ether, i can pretty much predict that the "Good old" USA (sacrasm) will come in on high horses and "Calm" the riot. Only to put in one of their ignorant ponzies in power through "elections" which are the EASIEST thing to rig in a turbulent country. It will be Saddam all over again.

I agree with you, we (the US) give Egypt's Dictator over 1.5 billion US dollars a FUCKING YEAR!! I think it's disgusting, and then OUR "SUPREME COMMANDER" is saying we shouldn't condone the riots! That we should support the dictator who refuses to give up power, don't be surprised when Obama doesn't give up his presidency
