Call now and order! Limited time only! If you are one of the first 20,000,000 callers, we will also send you next month's copy of Crazy Arabian Nights! Watch in awe as millions of Arabs come out at night to burn U.S. flags and effigies of George Bush (They still hate him) when the sun goes down. It's all prayer chants and mayhem that you gotta see!

lol! But seriously, WTF is going on over there? Shitty economies with crazy high unemployment perhaps? All of this instability seems to be more or less unrelated. Let's just hope the shit doesn't get too out of hand over there. :fire:

I'm HOPING it's unrelated. I don't really know, but I suppose time will tell. I do believe fundamentalism may be playing a role in all of this but there are certainly other things that are fanning the flames.:joint:

Now it's over 800.00

I see a vacation coming very soon.

That'd be a big ol' furball.

And even with our big dick military most of the world knows we don't have the leaders capable of using it.

I would say the canal would be a better bang for our buck than iraq and if we had egypt we could let isrial kick out all the palistinians

Why don't we use this as an oppertunity and move in and take the Suiez canal?
Because that would be the single dumbest thing done by any country in the history of the world.

These revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, and possibly now Yemen could potentially lead to real democracy. Any US interference would immediately end that and give broad support to the Islamic radicals. Bin Laden would become a viable candidate for president of Egypt.

Do we really want that? I don't. Best to stay out of it and hope that democracy prevails.

why would we wan't democracy? democracy is a terrible system and very unamerican. their is 0% chance of these countries becoming true democracys. I think we would be wise to make a move on the Suieze Canal if we do not then China or Russia probably will gain controll of the canal.

once again beardo impressing with his thorough knowledge of international relations....:dunce:

the US provides billions of dollars in aid to Egypt, as well as provides the country with a consistent and reliable supply of state of the art weaponry...

the Suez Canal is Egypts, and any country that tries to take it will face a very fierce battle by a military that is equipped with a LOT of American toys... that asset belongs to Egypt, and that country is very well prepared to defend it.

and if you forgot, we're already at war......

somethings aren't worth it. The blowback from that would be with us for the next 100 years. It'd start a world war most likely. f- that.
