Apartment Closet veg/clone room!

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping on in!! I finally got my mmar card from health canada and plan on doing small (within limits will eventually feed a nice outdoor crop ) vegging grow in my apartment; leave the flowering to another dedicated space because I am allowed 6x more vegging plants than flowering.

I am starting a closet op at the moment looking to provide a decent enough veg/clone room to feed a 6x6 flowering room I will be setting up later in a possibly different location. I am out of work at the moment so everything will be done as as cheap as possible, I have been able to achieve seeds/room/lights setup for about $250. Dimensions of the closet are 6' x 2.5' and it's 6.5' tall. I have a fully sealed area covered in reflective material and triple tarped to prevent light leaks/moisture/damage to property. I plan on using the room for two aero cloners and a couple moms once I get a good harvest through it.

I chose the row of 10 1,600 lumen 6500k CFL's (2 - 2300k) apposed to a 4ft flouro because I believe the better customization and maneuverability it allows surpasses the benefits of a floro setup. I might end up changing this depending on suggestions so feel free to give good input!!

I figured this would be a good day to start, as my first lady just broke the soil! It was better than being a kid on christmas! I will post pictures a couple times a week and I would love for input on how to do this RIGHT.

Temps are a little high right? Still considering best way to keep it down... Now have 6 plants germinated, life is great!

Oh my... I didn't expect the lobster. That my friend is some funny shit, I choked on my smoke and just about cried laughing. Very funny...

Temps a wee bit over "ideal" but they will grow fine if you can keep it right there. If you can cool it down great, if not your crop won't be ruined.

I would recommend like a small fan, or if there not room flr one Homemmade CO2 or dry ice you get the best of both worlds with that cools it down and lets off CO2, But like Kanibus said its only a little bit over what people are always recommending atleast its not a constant 100 degrees in there

I ordered two 120mm computer fans that should be here anyday, until them I am doing 24/0 and keeping grow room open for ventiallation (never knew cfl's through off so much heat!) would you advise purchasing a squirrel cage setup?

These are pretty small arn't they? I'm using 24/0

I have one plant with those burn type marks on it, and a whole. I checked for spider-mites and I couldn't see any.. Not sure what it is.

I'd say let em run on 24/0 for another 2 weeks or so then cut em back to 18/6 or as right around when you start Veg. These are doing better than mine were at 2 weeks but I was fighting a fung gnat problem. I believe it is taken care of but yea. I had mine on 24/0 for about the first 6 weeks but with inadequate light. Now I added two more CFL's and it has since taken off. Good luck man and keep us filled in.

In that picture I posted, whatever was wrong with the plant spread and ended up burning the leaves. It was like the leaves were burnt and crispy. However they were farther than most from the lightsource (just cfls)

I'm not actually, I was afraid to do it so early.
Thanks though, I leave the water out 24hrs (tap water) before.. Could be it, i'll try using bottled water on this plant for a bit.

Just switched over to flower, 4 6500k's and 4 2300k's.. will be 6/2 next week.

I have transplanted 3 times already, should I transplant these plants again? Roots are coming out the bottom. Cap is 3.3L

Anyone have any input?

It could sit in there a bit longer but yes it is going to need a larger container soon.
