Russia is attacking our citizens online, and Trump is more interested in his re-election than he is doing his job of protecting us and our democracy. He has now fired the DNI and replaced him with a right wing hate-monger with no experience to run every intelligence agency, because the DNI did his job and held a close door meeting with congress to go over the upcoming election that Russia is interfering with.

I figure as the election nears the gap between trump and the democratic candidate will widen, the press will fill in for the intelligence agencies because they are gonna leak like a fucking sieve. I think Rachael hit the nail on the head and why patriots must vote Trump out, even if ya gotta hold yer nose while pushing the democrat.

If Trump is re elected life might imitate art, the main characters in the movie seem like Trumpers to me and the real president is far more ridiculous than the one in the movie... Trump is fucking America and no one is stopping him, Canada could be next.

I miss John Candy.

But give us time, America stepped up and voted in Democrats by a wide margin in 2018, which stopped Trump from being able to operate in the dark without breaking the law. The Democrats impeached him, but the Republicans bent the knee and decided to let him off the hook.

We have an opportunity to set things right in again in November, luckily as much as Trump will try to leave us exposed, elections are in the states hands so he has limited power to screw with them outside of not protecting us from foreign interference spreading their disinformation and propaganda to everyone in every chat room across the internet to get their candidates of choice elected.

I figure after the squabble about the nomination is over folks will get in line, but the process on the democratic side must be seen as fair and honest by all concerned. If bloomberg were to buy the convention and win or something stupid like that it would be a fucking disaster. It is more important than ever to get behind whoever the nominee is, I understand the fight in the meantime, that's how democracy is suppose to work. I'd like to see a toning down of rhetoric on the democratic side here though as we move forward. Patriotic Americans who want their country back in their hands and not in Putin's have no alternatives this election. Yer gonna have to ride the donkey you'll get, Bernie is a mule though, but when the general election is underway I figure he'll kick Trumps ass like a mule should. Still early days in the primaries though with a long way to go, we'll know more in short order.

What do you mean by 'buy the convention'. How would that be possible outside of just being able to say it and it sounding good. He would need to get the 2k-ish delagates to win, and it is illegal to give money to get them, so that would mean he broke the law, and yes every American should be pissed if that occurred. Short of that, I am not sure what you mean.

"get in line". I saw pad say the same authoritarian bullshit too.

What I'm not expecting is for Sanders' cult to "get in line". "Get in line" is what Trump, Sanders and their authoritarian movement expect. Authoritarians, Republicans for example, follow a leader.

Democrats follow their belief. We will rally around our candidate. There will be grumbling by Sanders supporters who never were Democrats and they will do what they did in 2016 when they lost too. 10% will vote for Trump. A significant number will sit it out, saying "give me Sanders or I'll give you Trump". The adults in the room will do their best to defeat Trump.

Ya you're right, I guess there's zero way to influence people with money aside from giving it to them straight out.
