you cant burry a school bus dear its an engineering nightmare trust me

i dont see why you couldnt. just have to weld all windows with steel plates. so nothin caves in on ya plants

well then you obviously have never fully thought out a project on a scale as large as burying a school bus. To put it simple.

You would have to weld angle iron in place of the shocks to make sure the bus never sagged off level. Or you could removed the whole axle and shock assembly from each end. Either way this is a nightmare.

You would also have to dig out holes deep enough for the wheels to go into as well=pain in the ass.

last but not least you would have to weld additional supports on the roof so when you burried it in thousands of pounds of dirt the roof would sag, or maybe even collapse. And if you think this wouldnt happen your incredibly wrong because even if it didnt break it would sag and bend under the pressure causing your dirt above to sag and be shitty looking as fuck.

This is why shipping containers are the easiest way. Theyre already engineered to hold hundreds of thousands of pounds on top of them (they stack them up full to the brim) and you would only have to put in a concrete footer at each of the four corners while only having to burry it 10 ft max, to allow to 2 ft of soil on top.


Theres a lot more to it and to much for me to explain considering you're convinced that a school bus would be easy. if you want to surround yourself with hundereds upon hundreds of tons TONS TONS of dirt with nothing more then the shitty school bus walls be my guest.

you 'may' have to do all that if you want to burry it like hella deep but just a foot or two under. nahhh all you got to do is secure the windows man. I do see what you mean about axels breaking adn sagging. but if kaya wanted to jsut put it a ft or so under, it would work. she is gonna need a back hoe though. unless you want to be diggin for weeks/months. lol...........

You think they can only be burryed a foot down? lol not only that but only 1 foot down and ur whole top layer would be complete mud with no drainage. the list goes on man. problem after problemmmmm. with the schoolbus that is... I have gotten 3 free shipping/storage containers out of my local junkyard. Well I lied. 50 bucks a pop but there in perfect shape. Cheaper then any schoolbus, and easier to work with. Thats for sure.

electric lines and shit? were talking about burrying a school bus in kayas backyard, not a commercial construction site. personally i think itd be badass to grow in an underground school bus. but damn that cheap for those containers. so how many rigs will you be able to fit in your underground parking garage when complete?

Im planning on burying a total of 5 containers giving me an area of 50'x50'. They will be right off my basement wall and I will knocking out some of my cinder blocks to make the doorway. Its going to be a fairly simple job and only cost me about $1500 (500 for the backhoe, 500 for the mexicans, 500 for the support poles and shit) in the end. Not to shabby for a 50'x50' addition. I also have to put in steel support poles every 10 ft at the seams of the containers since I will be cutting the walls away and loosing most of the structural integrity. I will take a lot of pictures when construction begins. I hope to start it within the next month or two and have it done and ready for parking for this years 4th of July party.

yes electrical lines and shit. If you dont burry the bus deep enough odds are you would be caught somehow. Your breaking a lot of county rules unless you live on a deserted Island doing that, it is illegal to burry motor vehicles my friend. Not only that but if she ended up leaving the bus there when she moved (I would) you would not want to have to lower ur property vauled cause theres a bus burried out back. If you went at least 3 ft down (worth of surface soil that is) no lines go deeper then that and you would never have to tell a soul come sale time.

I dont want any confusion. It really is a garage im building not a huge 50'x50' undercover grow op. I didnt want any confusion there. The thought did cross my mind though but im not trying to fuck with that big of a fucking thing lol. Thats like I have to hire workers for. lol. fuck that.

And yea its gonna be about as big as my whole backyard is but you woulnt even know its there when im done. Except for the garage door and ramp that will take up about 15'x10' but thats nothing compared to the underground space I gain. Shit I could throw fight club or something bad ass in a space like that. It's mainly gonna be used for parking though. and maybe some recreational indoor shit idk yet.

ya i know what you mean man...and i didnt know it was illegal...whoops. me and my dad buried a 69 beetle on his property.. he has 9 acres , but hes not moving, he and my stepmother build a 4500 sq ft country home. and will live there till they pass. but that beetle has 8 pds of herb in the trunk. so ill be diggin it up someday. lol

I can't get anything. Unfortunatly I'm dead ass broke. I talk about it in the other threads but I was court ordered to pay this kid all this money. So thats where its all going. Im trying to chill with a buddy to smoke me up though after I get done my piss test and I have to run up to the other house to get a title to the car. Then hopefully I will be medicated

yea ur prbbly fine. My grandfather built my house and my rents are splitting and leaving it to me (lucky me) don't know how soon though but they pretty much let me have free rain on the ideas I come up with and the home improvements I do. My goal is to put about 10,000 in this property and sell it for over a million when the market flips again. Or rent all that extra space I will be having out since my property lease will be the same.... Now theres an idea, living for free

i agree 50x50 would be a MASSIVE grow room.. but you really should section off part of it for a grow opp. but maybe you already have a nice space for that. im just so fucking sick of cultivating in my closet. i cant wait to move, 2 more months!!!!!
