The Strain Hunters brought FEMINIZED seeds my friend, you must not realize what it is. You really do not get what I mean either. It is not a philosophical standpoint of view but the fact that you have the most precious genetic in the Himalayas and you DO NOT want to muddy that pool, think about it before going into the colonialist speech.
Seriously just check up what is landrace before speaking the way you do
completely agree with frenchy, nice to meet you btw frenchy, and qwiso.. watching the strain hunters go over to countries and taking their untouched genetics and leaving them with their pollen chucked, poly-hybrid garbage as a gift is such an insult to these people it's not even funny.. makes me physically ill to think about it..

these genetics they're leaving with these people are in no way superior to the land race stuff that they're going there fore, in fact, why do you think that these strain hunters are going all over the world on off beaten paths to collect these genetics if they were in fact inferior to what was already readily available at any modern seed banks?
oh well, just wanted to chime in and thank qwiso and frenchy for the knowledge and excellent reads, both of you are great assets to riu, and am glad to have meet the tow of you.. :D
that is all, lol..

also many many years ago the Mexican cartels were buying dutch stock to mix with there local strains... give them faster harvests that are more potent... atleast since 04 this has been happening

^^^ thank you!

Guys who Im debating with- u still have not really answered my question. ..

Why do you all deserve to enjoy the fruits of generations of selective breeding, but indian ganja farmers shouldnt be allowed to grow HIGHER YIELDING crops???? Hmmm? If thats not a colonialistic approach then I dunno what is. Anyways as mentioned earlier this is all a moot point. Foreign genetics have been travelling the globe for a while now. India with a middle class the size it has WILL eventually demand a better product and Suppliers will bend to the consumers will.

I dont....its not better

HIGHER YIELDING crops????
They arent
I pull .75 grams per watt...12/12 from seed 8 plants will pull a lb easily
I'm not the best grower

Sure there are plants that yield more..there are lots that yield less..we are talking about connoisseur herb that's usually your personal stash

Why do you feel hybrids are so superior?

Okay. So you only grow purebreed plants? You dont cross breed yourself to select personal preferences? Im not saying all hybrids are better, but I believe that commercial growers in india should and will use different genetics than local varieties to improve their product. If we cant agree on this, can we at least agree that commercial growers in developing countries could do with some basic improvements to their procedure? If they could learn to pull males at the right time and cure buds properly, more of the uniqueness of the indigenous strain will be more apparent.

You have the BEST Charas and the best and most awesome genetic to make it with hundred of thousand of years of evolution behind.

So you think that the different genetics that come from Cambodia to Afghanistan are due to WHAT??? Total coincidence, nothing remotely close to breeding, seriously, think about it a minute.
You should really read more about landrace, feminized seeds and what a recessive gene is, then you will not be calling me a colonialist when I am trying to protect your heritage for a better word

We'ze been gettin between 2-3lbs a light here in the great white north for years!! Quite a few crops now between 3-3.25 lbs/light but they are rare. The average is more like 2.2-2.5 lbs per light with tight sogs.

Big yields are possible a few different ways..multiple revolving veg/flower rooms where large tree's get up to 4 months of veg; making crops every month possible, or lower veg times of only 2 weeks with very densely planted SOG's of up to 70 smaller plants per light.

Sorry for the thread de railment was just bustin some balls!

BCOG do you grow an apetite stimulating strains? I'm one of those people who would rather smoke than eat, but im programmed to smoke before I eat and it's killing my wife.
Also do you got anything with real cbd in it? Im trying to track down that hailey's comet strain I herd about because I need a real sedative for a hyper hyperactive mind that is built to fight sleep.
I'm sitting on 250 grams of master kush shatter and I don't even feel like dabbing because everything wakes me up. I think it's time I gotta come out of pocket with some cash for the right strain to make oil with for myself.
It's not oil boredome but I need to find my meds, and i don't think just dabbing the oils i make for people is working. Kush's are making me stronger at fighting sleep everyday because they got less an less cbd than ever.

I still don't know if I have epilepsy or just needed my brain rebooted after 33 year's of overthinking, so im putting the word out in case some guy mentions something in passing and it's just what I need.

Saybian not sure what to tell you cause for me anything indica dominant makes me relaxed, mellow, and sleepy. But I've also heard that the Hindu Kush (which is where the real MK is from) is more of an up high even though it is indica so I dunno what to tell you.
Purple Kush makes me sleepy too..

Have you tried any edibles? A little bit of edibles before bed makes me crash very well if I am having troubles sleeping but too much of it will give you a very intense body high and can overtake your thoughts so just little bits is what I suggest when people just what to relax with edibles.

I'm growing chemo too but to tell you the truth I have no clue what the real lineage of the strain is cause it's not the original UBC Chemo from the early 90's at all. It smells more like a Dutch cheese cross to me. For the high it is a mellow high not heady to me either.

The OG I grow is very heady and very energetic so you don't want that for sure.
