Anyone have anything that can beat this $749 - (12) Zero29 rig versus HPS?

12x cxm22= 205
12x 133mm hs= 227
2x HLG-320H-48A =200
holders = 30
wagos, wire, misc=20

$682 for higher ppfd and more efficient. In the 50 watt range, nothing beats cxms

That first option looks like your typical blurple LED, may as well use Mars hydro if you want to go that option and save some money.
The HLG 550 you can get for 600USD if you get it as a kit vs. it pre-assembled so you can save some cash there.
That 3rd light, i cant seem to find many reviews so I personally am skeptical about dropping tons of money on unproven tech.

Your initial post asked about any lights that can beat that rapid kit?
Short answer is yes there are tons.
But are you looking for the cheapest option?
Do you want pre-assembled? or DIY?
IS there a budget?
The most complete coverage and even ppfd spread?
Also many different ways to drive LED's, can run fewer harder, or more softer.

It would be easier to provide you an answer with knowing specifics like what size area will this be covering, how many plants, height restrictions etc..

And what is the price increase for the QB boards? Their kits are still a great deal IMO.

I would look at 2 of these 320w QB kits versus any of the options you listed if you want a beast of a light, This would be 6 QB boards for cheaper than the hlg 550 and use about an extra 100 watts.

The Perfect sun is a slug based diode, which is about 15 year old tech. Get a spec sheet of the diodes if you can, but I doubt it, because they reveal terrible efficiency unless your cooling is on steroids.....Same like NC just said as Blackdog, Lush, Spider, Mars, ebay special, amazon special.....big whoop. They may be claiming honesty, but disingenuous as all hell...

the HLG using the Samsung diode speaks for itself and the last one, is ?? I didn't see a diode listing.....DANGER WILL ROBINSON :joint:

check out the photon fantom boards too @MMJ Dreaming 99 also using the samsung diode except the newest which has some 660 nm RED mixed in....
with drivers and simple frame [they don't need heatsinking per se...] this could be a $600 build easy.
All plug and play, like most things these days, y'all just starting out have it nice! :peace:

I am still wondering is 12 Vero 29s or CXMs can match these?

Perfect Sun is almost double the price.
