I am having a hard time finding out what is attacking my plants. looks like black mildew. attacks the fan leaves with black spots then travels along the stem until it reaches the buds and is halted by the trichomes but slowly makes its way on them. also i noticed its on the stalk of the plant although less visible. Throw the plant away. Gross.

Next time learn about how to mske a living soil .

Subcool supersoil is one place to start .

The organics section stickys have a tonne of info

Book : teaming with microbes .

Compost tea that you make your self. The shit from the store goes stale too fast.

Worm castings is full of life that if you make a good tea and spray your sprant up until flower with bacteria then when you get problems like this, they cant get a foot hold because its already full of beneficial non harmful bacteria.

To keep it simple.

Feed your soil

....might be too late. Try a h2o2 spray, or baking soda...

You have any bugs this grow?

Are you sure you are dealing with a mold/fungus or is it possibly a nutrient deficiency? Black spots on leaves are apparently symptoms of potassium or manganese deficiency, according to this:

pH imbalance can cause nutrient deficiencies, even if your ferts contain all the nutrients demanded by cannabis.

thanks for the replys, i cant confirm but i think this may have showed up after i sprayed the plants down with milk to combat powdery mildew. or maybe there was a little of this and the milk made it worse. what i did recently is sprayed the plants down with 3% hydrogen peroxide and today i did a potassium bicarbonate/oil/soap solution. so far im losing the battle but ill stay posted.

Oh and also. i have very little bug issues in my backyard only caterpillars but i have those under control.

Not a nutrient deficiency. this fungus can be rubbed off of the leaves for the most part

Ahh, yeah I sprayed milk once and had a brown/black fungus show up after on the dried milk residue...first and last time I ever used milk in my garden.

update: Well i believe this is a unique situation and it explains why i have found pretty much no information online about it. Theres a large tree in my backyard that has this stuff on the leaves and alot of other black dusty mold looking stuff. I think spraying milk for PM encouraged it and helped it spread at a crazy rate in early flower. however i will say 2% milk does get rid of powdery mildew it did not help against this strain of black mold/mildew. Gonna cut it down and try again next year. some buds are salvageable if trimmed well, so i cleaned in a h20 solution and the will be blasted. lesson learned. gotta check out your local area around where you grow outdoors. also i will be spraying with compost teas next year and making some super soil. This year i used Kellogg organic potting soil from home depot, amended with black magic all purpose dry nutrients, fox farm tiger bloom and big bloom. Man.. plants were just beautiful up until late flower...
Has anyone had any experience spraying a beneficial tea during an infestation like this?

It took me a while to learn that sometimes you have to clean your genetics before you go on...
First I had to deal with insects, then with a lingering fungal situation I think they had from the time we started with them.
Luckily I run clones from clones, so newly cut clones got dipped into a pesticide and later treated with a systemic copper fungicide.
This is now my first run post all this shit and the genetics are pumping, clones hitting quickly, and growth is explosive compared to earlier runs....
Sometimes the infection is so bad you need to cut back to the contents of a single cell, and transfer that into a healthy one to get rid of old shit. The germs can even travel in the seed.

Wow thats interesting. im planting from seeds outdoor that i have randomly collected so im not dealing with clones.

Learn to always take at least one clone from every female as soon as you flip them into flower... this way you get to hang onto the special ones.

Yeah, no point in using milk for PM if it is just going to encourage another possibly worse fungus. Powdery Mildew can produce allergic reactions at its worst but it does not produce deadly aflatoxins like some other molds...I'd much rather deal with PM than any kind of black fungus.
